3 /5 Antonio T: We rolled into Hurricane Grill around 9 PM on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised it wasn’t packed. After a bumpy flight from California, all I wanted was a drink, comfort food, and no wait time. My buddy recommended this spot, and it hit the mark perfectly. I love sports bars because sometimes you just want to embrace your inner caveman, grab a beer, and watch people clobber each other over 10-yard increments. Service was sweet, though not exactly encyclopedic. I asked if they had any wheat beer—our server swore they didn’t—then I spotted Allagash White on the chalkboard. Cute, friendly, and honest effort wins over attitude any day. She recommended the Philly Cheesesteak (she’s originally from Philly), and she was so right. It was exactly what I needed—hearty, flavorful, and comforting. Prices are fair, portions solid, and the atmosphere delivers that relaxed, buzzy sports-bar energy. After a long travel day, this place was the perfect landing spot. I’ll be back!

2 /5 Woody Hayes: Got a to-go order. Ordered wings and nachos for me and my wife got the coconut fried shrimp. She loved the shrimp (as always) but the cole slaw that came with the shrimp was spoiled and smelled awful. Nachos: All eateries should serve them "to=go" like Hurricanes. Build your own nachos with the ingredients they provide. NO soggy chips and great "plate" of nachos. Wings: average. Buffalo sauce gets 5 stars. Would have been a higher score if they didnt serve spoiled food.

1 /5 George Giouroukos: This is the worst hurricanes and here’s why! They do not do $.99 wings at all like the other four hurricanes. They do not offer an unlimited amount of wings on a Tuesday night. They have zero specials they’re only special is $13 for 10 wings. You can’t even get their so-called special to go.? Folks tend to forget you can get 20 wings from Publix for $15. The fact that I can’t even get 10 for 13 to go is pathetic. I hope the owner reads this and understand he’s missing a lot of to go since some people suffer from social anxiety.

5 /5 Pamela Garwood: Traveled through this area with a small dog on October 20, 2025. This restaurant had outdoor patio seating that was welcoming for our dog. Our server, Esmeralda, was efficient, professional, kind, and had a marvelous sense of humor. The food was great with the best margarita that I have tasted in a long time. Never felt rushed and the atmosphere was relaxing. As our experience was so delightful, we visited the same place on our return home (October 25) and requested the same server. Our experience was, again, excellent. We were so impressed that we requested to speak to the manager, Beth. She was so pleasant and thankful for our compliments. Would highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return next time we are going through Jacksonville. Nice job, Esmeralda and Beth!! :)

5 /5 Les Linville: Attended a private event there and couldnt have been more pleased. Food and service was great and the staff was very polite and on top of everything. Would definitely go back.
