Breakfast is 7-10am daily. We came in at 8:45 on a Tuesday (10/28) and were the only ones there. Bartender was welcoming and quickly got us seated (outside, our choice) with menus and drinks.
Toni was our server, super sweet and attentive. I ordered the Cubano omelet, which comes with home fries and brioche toast, and a sidecar of mustard - I subbed out the home fries for the cheesy grits. My guy ordered the biscuits and gravy.
Food came out within 10-15 minutes and was plated gorgeously with these beautiful tropical flower garnishes. Biscuits and gravy were tasty - biscuits were nice and soft, and gravy had good sized sausage chunks. The Cubano was amazing! It was absolutely stuffed with shredded pork, cubed ham, Swiss cheese, and diced dill pickles. The sidecar of mustard really made it, it was Dijon and delicious. This was a perfect representation of a cubam sandwich in omelet form! The cheesy grits were fine, as was the brioche toast (butter was nice and spreadable, and came with grape and strawberry jam).
You dont see a cuban omelet on many menus, so this was a cool order to begin with, but it was so good that I doubt Ill be able to bring myself to try something different the next time. I hope they keep breakfast going, and I hope they keep the cuban omelet on the menu.
You cant go wrong at Island Time - staff is always super nice. But if you havent been here in awhile, come out and try the breakfast - totally worth it!
