Examiner 007 While on a business trip I was looking for someplace that was local and not a big box and I found Big John’s BBQ. The place is really cool inside. The menu is short but on point. I had the pulled pork combo and it was really delicious. The bun was so soft and buttery. The sauce was sweet Smokey. The baked beans were fantastic! I had never had sweet apple and bacon in my beans before. What an awesome idea. The large Coke Zero was Really Big. The donuts on display are very tempting but I had to say no. They have ice cream and fruit smoothies. All four of my favorite food groups. Lol. I plan on stopping in again and trying the hot dog and smoothie. The gentleman who took my was very friendly and kind. I really enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you guys.

Palma Ceraos I went to this little soul food spot the other night and honestly it felt pretty homey. The fried chicken had a nice crunch and the mac and cheese was super creamy, kinda like something your grandma would make. Service was friendly too, even though it was a bit busy, they still checked in a couple times. The place isn’t super fancy or anything, but that’s part of the charm I guess. Prices felt fair for what you get. Overall I’d say it was a good, cozy meal and I’d go back again.

Mindi Vroman I cannot say enough great things about this establishment! The food is freaking amazing. The customer service is stellar. Its a hidden gem as far as the outside and location. They dont do justice to how spectacular it really is. It is a black, veteran owned restaurant, butcher shop, and small grocery. The young man at the counter was just the sweetest! Maybe its because Im from the north, but everything was yes maam, no maam, can I help you maam? 10 stars! He cleared our table even though it was clearly a diy kind of place. He clearly went above and beyond, which I made sure to tell the owner. The Philly cheese steak? OMG so freaking good!!! Hot, fresh, and good quality. No gristle. No chunks of fat. Just good quality juicy, fresh meat. The greens are top notch! It was super filling. I took some of my greens home. Im only here for two weeks but I NEED to go back before I go home. The meat shop has amazing, fresh, high quality meats. Theres a huge selection that I wish I could get back home without going to a big city. The young man at the butcher counter was also super attentive, respectful and helpful. The crab legs are suitable and delicious! The grocery area is limited but yet has a great selection, if that makes sense. Theres a lot of good produce and an amazing selection of spices. 20/10 recommend. Go! Eat, shop, share. This place deserves more recognition. I cannot stress enough, I dont think Ive ever been anywhere that had it all. Good food, good service, good selection, black veteran owned. Stellar!!!

Brittany Whidden Best gas prices and best chicken in town! The biscuits are to die for, like if I had to fight someone over one of these biscuits I would theyre that good lol we have been sleepin on this place for a while but its gonna be our go to, staff is very sweet as well the woman helping my husband decide on chicken and sides was an absolute sweetheart.
