Joseph Roman Stopped by the Broken Barrel in Palm Bay and overall had a good experience. The beans had an interesting flavor at first — it took a couple bites to get used to the “choir” (char/smoked) taste, but once it kicked in, you could really smell and taste the smoky depth. Definitely unique and worth trying.
I ordered the turkey sandwich, and the quality of the turkey itself was great — you can really taste the smoked flavor. I do wish there had been a bit more turkey on the sandwich, and maybe a different bun would elevate it even more, but the flavor was solid.
Overall, good quality food with strong smoky BBQ notes. I’d go back and try a few other items on the menu next time.
