Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar - Naples
Nate Brunch here was actually the culinary highlight of my three week Florida tour, and that included Thanksgiving at a fine dining establishment.
We were just looking for a quick bite before hitting the beach, saw this place and said "why not?" I was initially disappointed that they did not have a cold brew or iced coffee, but the hot coffee was fresh and hit the spot. My dad had an unsweetened mango iced tea which he quite liked.
For an entrée, I ordered the squash and chorizo hash off their winter menu and It. Was. Phenomenal. I love a good hash but l have never experienced one with such bright and bold flavor. The chorizo was spicy and had a confident garlic undertone, while the squash and potatoes had caramalized and there was a citrus zing, with a perfect sunny side up egg and avocado to balance out the dish. I was blown away.
Also off their winter menu, we had the bread pudding souffle for dessert and it was a warm and rich reminder of our New England home. Just outstanding.
The service was attentive and frequent, they do give first timers a spiel, but it apparently comes with a complimentary cocunut shrimp on a tasty bed, so who can complain about that?
They had live music for Sunday brunch, a fella playing beachy tunes on the guitar, and its quite nice to sit out in the open and enjoy the fresh air and unexpectedly first-class food.
Price was average for a slightly elevated dining experience, but the experience itself was way above average. Would highly recommend Tommy Bahama Restaurant in Naples
