1 /5 Jenn Landrum: We go here regularly, and tonight was for my brother’s birthday (party of 5 and a child who LOVES this place) There were several parties of 16+ people that were prioritized over everyone. We were told 30-45 minutes wait, meanwhile watching everyone else that got there after us get sat ahead of us. They had decided ONE table in the entire restaurant was where we could be sat, and the party that was there was staying long after completion of their meal, so the hostess didn’t accommodate for that, and continued to seat other parties before us. 1.5 hrs later, we were finally sat, and ordered drinks and appetizers. My wine came out with floating matter in it, 20+ minutes after ordering. When I got a replacement glass it was hot, out of the dishwasher for cold white wine, but still had lipstick stains all over the rim of the glass that I just cleaned myself because it wasn’t worth trying to get another. The appetizer was undercooked and greasy, and our salads were swimming in dressing. We eventually ordered our entrees and my sister in law ordered the appetizer shrimp and specified it was for her entree with a side of broccoli. They brought it out 20 minutes before everyone else’s food with no side. All our food came out cold/lukewarm at best. My medium rare steak was medium+, and a sad end cut of a tenderloin that should’ve been steak tips. My dad’s shrimp was overcooked with less than half a cup of rice, and my brother ordered a ribeye and was served a New York strip. We brought this to the attention of our server who asked if he wanted a replacement. As we had already been there over 2 hrs and had just gotten food, he said no, and we asked for a price adjustment to which the waiter replied, “they’re the exact same price, so…” which blew our minds… no offer to correct it besides waiting another 30+ minutes for food after everyone else would already be done eating.
At no point did a manager come to speak with our table after the seating issue, not after the drink issue, not after my SIL’s food came out before everyone else’s (and without her side), and not after the incorrect food. We didn’t even mention that everything was cold or overcooked, and are not complainers, but tonight was beyond unacceptable and disappointing. We didn’t even get to finish celebrating my brother with a dessert because the mood was so sour and frustrating after everything and we’re just ready to go home almost 3 hrs later. We normally order drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, and treat our servers very well, and we felt like we were not treated as normal paying customers, but like we were inconveniencing them just for being there. If you can’t properly accommodate large parties, and still serve the other customers with ANY level of service, you should not take excessively large parties of people. This place has gone way downhill…. We had planned to take my niece there next weekend, but will not be returning any time soon.
