Z goose Kres did not miss a beat from the moment we walked in. We celebrated my birthday here, and every single person—from the hostess to the waitstaff—made it feel special. The service was seamless and genuinely warm. Our waiter, Brandon, was absolutely on point: attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. The food and flavors were incredible—thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and memorable. We didn’t drink alcohol, and I was especially impressed by the mocktails—creative, balanced, and genuinely delicious (not an afterthought). Highly recommend Kres Orlando for a special occasion or anytime you want an exceptional dining experience.

Eric S My favorite restaurant that Ive been to in Florida. Do not let the exterior fool you. It looks unassuming and bland on the outside. When you get inside, the atmosphere is intimate without any harsh lighting. It isnt too pretentious and also isnt too modern looking. The booths feel private and I love that. Open kitchen so you can watch the staff cook and serve if you get a good seat. The staff has always been attentive, warm, and polite without being intrusive or robotic (shout out to our server Bobby today). I have been here 4 times and Ive pushed off reviewing The Perfect Caper because Ive always been so excited to eat the beautifully plated food that I forget to take decent pictures. The food is at a level above anything Ive had in the area. The food is interesting without obnoxiously trying to go out of its way to be different. The duck and steak is wonderful, the fish has always been great, and the scallops are perfect. As far as style, it feels like classical French with some east Asian influence. I cant afford a place like The Perfect Caper super often but anytime a loved one who has an appreciation for good food visits I will take them here. Its a very special place. Especially for the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte area where its mostly chains or restaurant conglomerates that just want to make the most money with the least amount of effort. Pictured are the duck a deux facons (duck two ways) and a snapper special with lemon, frisee, and potato cake. Both were wonderful. Great complex but balanced cocktails as well. I cannot recommend this place enough. Id apologize for gushing over this place, but its well deserved.

Steve V Wow, wow, and wow from moment you arrive at the front door of this magical place. Suggest you make an online reservation as we did since they were pretty busy on a Wednesday evening. Menu covers all you might want to consider, but the execution by the kitchen blew us both away. Started with a cup of the 6-onion soup special and the pork belly over biscuits. Pork belly heaven for me and those biscuits were like little pillows. Mains were the perfectly seasoned jambalaya and the fried chicken. That fried chicken was a double wow and my wife declared the collards as life changing. Our wait person Millie brought out some warm biscuits with honey butter. Oh no....make me eat more of these perfect biscuits? We will be back and highly recommend that everyone dine here. Our server Millie was personable and in Maine we would call her a keepah.

Gladys Navarro A beautiful waterfront happy hour with friendly staff and a great menu, perfect for enjoying a few bites while chatting with a new friend at the bar. The people-watching is excellent, and the passing boats give you plenty to enjoy while sampling the happy hour offerings. The oysters were heavenly, and with a chill in the air, I decided to try the baby zucchini fries-so glad I did. Arrive early, because this spot is clearly popular for food, drinks and fun.

Wendy Wawrzyniak So much fun, always! We encountered cheerful staff from management to servers to bartenders. The atmosphere is always festive and tuned into the holidays. The menu is fun and a wide variety of options. The prices are high, however and the quality of food is just average.
