Rylee J Grabbed a bite here the other night and lovedddd this place! The food is insane. Birria grilled cheese was incredible. Cuban was “the best he’s ever had in his life” according to my brother who eats a lot of cubans. Hand breaded and battered chicken tenders were 11/10. But my favorite thing was the vibe - this bar made me feel like I was at MacLaren’s from How I Met Your Mother. Niche reference but basically I just mean I would love to live near this bar so I could frequent it with friends and have a booth that we regular. Wait staff was super cool too, one of them recommend a cool music event nearby to us. Try Galley!!

Tracy CremedelaCreme Coppin We are in Lakeland a second town within 2 weeks. My husband has a work assignment here and we are living in a hotel and eat out daily. We were referred to Fish City by a Server in another restaurant. She told about the Chalkboard specials, the $5 Happy Hour Margaritas and urged us to try the Oyster Nachos!! Sean was our awesome server on our first visit! The $5 Margaritas did not miss and the oyster nachos were an absolute party in my husbands and my mouth!! Deelish!! I had the Sea Bass with the Chimichurro sauce, I think that is what its called, OMG divine and it came with spinach and potatoes. I loved it! The fish was huge so I had a take out box for the remainder. I cant remember what my husband had besides the black beans but the photo is below! He enjoyed his meal and we both sent our regards to the Chef. Sean was super with informing us of the menu and staying attentive to our needs as we dined, he even took time to chat with me and answer my questions about his residing in Lakeland. I am always curious of peoples history. I took the blueberry cobbler cheesecake to go and it was AMAZING!! Thanks Fish City Grill and Cudos Sean!!

Sara Stokes This place was wonderful! The lady who waited on me - and I forgot her name - had worked there 27 years and was so nice. The lobster empanadas were delicious, although they filled me up to where I could hardly eat any of my fish tacos and black beans…so I took them with me. The decor is super fun too. I would love to go back next time I’m in the area.

TW JoEllen’s is a hidden gem in Tallahassee that serves up comfort food with serious Southern soul. I ordered the Love on a Two-Way Street. The fried chicken with buttermilk and red velvet waffles, and it hit every note—crispy, flavorful, and indulgent in the best way. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the waffles were rich and tender, with just the right hint of sweetness. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back, making it an ideal spot for a casual brunch or a relaxed dinner. Despite the steady flow of customers, the service was fast and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. If youre in the area or and craving comfort food, JoEllen’s should be on your list.

J J Enjoyed our meal at Cooper’s Hawk. The Bleu Prime Skirt Steak Salad was really good — crunchy, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. Ellie’s Chicken Piccata was light and flavorful, and the lemon butter caper sauce was the highlight, pairing nicely with the capellini pasta. The lobster bisque was a bit on the salty side, and the bread & butter served with the meal didn’t quite compare to what you’d expect from other steakhouses. Overall, a nice dining experience with some standout dishes.

Brittany T Food was good. Had a larger party on a busy Football day and they were able to seat us and still maintain service levels. Great place to watch a game, plenty of TV screens to see all around.
