Vargas Andrea (Andrea) We found this restaurant after going to one of our kids soccer game and wow we were super impressed with their food, everything was so delicious, the tacos, the quesadillas, rice and beans… everything was amazing, definitely your real authentic Mexican flavors. Our kids really enjoyed as well. Next time we are close to Tavares we will definitely come back to La Chona!

Issa Fadi Fantastic place for a sunset dinner. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. My wife and I had the salmon and grouper. Both seared perfectly. I read some of the other reviews stating that this place is somewhat pricey. Although I somewhat agree with this assessment, you are getting high quality dinner for the price where you can actually taste the fish as it is supposed to compared to other places where they deep fry everything and you dont know what you are eating. In short, if you want fine dinning, good service and memorable experience then I highly recommend the Bayside Kraft Kitchen. If you want a run of the mill meal, then this place is not for you.

Megan M I would highly recommend this place! Their food is fantastic. I would recommend their wings with cold slaw. Their mac and cheese is delicious. This was one of our favorite spots we ate at this trip. Service was amazing and fast. Our food came out super hot. Cute spot for date night or going out with friends!

Eugene Helfrick A real hidden gem. Far enough away to feel like you went somewhere while still being close enough to be a meeting point for groups. Great grounds and the resturant was absolutely fantastic. A lot of homemade food made with pride. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good lunch or to see some Florida nature.

Lisa Brux My family was traveling through Hilliard, FL headed to Hinesville, GA. We stopped at Five .5 Grille an hour about closing. This place is tucked in a small strip mall and isn’t anything fancy. It is a mix of diner/sporty bar. There were tv mounted around the dining area, an ice cream shop area, and quarter games: like a gum ball machine and claw machine. It seemed a place we’d bring our kids. There was even a framed prayer on the wall, we prayed before our meal. The waitress was friendly and prompt with getting drinks, our order, and all-around great service. We are huge water drinkers but the water was nasty. It was too late for a soda, so we ordered a beer. Beer has a minimal selection but it was fine. There were so many options on the menu. We ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and the Pickle Cheeseburger. Man, these burgers were great, huge, and messy! I loved the paper towels for napkins, just like home. The portions were large. I would definitely recommend this place and will stop by driving through Hilliard. Ask the staff the reason for the name of the restaurant.
