Mojo Federal Swine & Spirits - (Near Lakeland, FL)

5 /5 David Bruce: Our local friend picked this place. It was excellent. We were there for 3.5 hours until they closed and were cleaning up (video taken on way out). Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent - burnt ends (they have a variety of sauces on each table - I my fav was the chipotle) with street corn off the cob and cowboy beans. Everything was excellent. Decent beer selection and a very large bourbon selection.

5 /5 Amelia Early: This place right here is on point! Our server Fred was great! He checked on us just enough to make sure we were good but not swarming over us. During small chat we told him where we were from and he told us about the locations near us. He even gave us a brief history lesson the building. The food was fresh, having all of the sauces on the table was a great added touch, thr portions at a big, and the banana pudding we got togo. Definitely will be stopping back in when we come down this way.

5 /5 JF Davis Jr: Our server Marie was very pleasant and fun to engage with. Now to the food, the Smoked Chicken Nachos were good with shredded chicken, thick sliced jalapenos and tomatoes. My wife ordered a cup of Brunswick Stew and a Mojo salad. The salad was so large she didnt finish it, to 90% home. I had the Delta catfish blackened with garlic cheese grits, fries and jalapeno cornbread. All was great and great. The meal was reasonably priced and the restaurant felt comfortable and relaxed. If you are ever in downtown Lakeland go to Mojo Federal Swine & Spirits.

5 /5 Brandi C: Overall, the food is good. The temperature could have been hotter, but everything had good flavor. Service was great for a Saturday evening with no wait for a party of 7. Broad selection of kids meals and they came with a drink which is a plus. Onion ring appetizer was huge and feeds 3-4.

1 /5 Daisy Mae: Skip this place at all cost. I cannot understand how anybody in their right mind calls this a good bbq joint. It is most certainly the most dry, cold and unseasoned bbq Ive ever tried in my life. Not smokey at all. It was my first time here and will definitely be the last. We ordered the hawg to get to taste a little bit of everything that should be good at any establishment claiming to sell good bbq. Unfortunately, that plate was so depressing upon arrival. Looked like itd been sitting out for a while after being reheated.. so thats what $50 gets you. Id say its the type of food you willingly give to your dogs just so it doesnt go to waste. The service was also very poor. The hostess was rolling silverware at the stand all while handling menus that are touched by everyone. That was pretty gross in my opinion. The waitress we had was just sad too. We tried to make her job easier by ordering drinks and food from the jump. Which was understandable considering we sat there for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. She didnt put our drink orders in at the bar until I told her thats what we were still waiting on. Then when the depressing platter arrived we waited another 15 minutes to tell her we would not be eating that cold platter. The manager finally came over and apologized, but all I heard were excuses about why the food sucked. She did try to convince us the do better by giving us a better serving of the burnt ends. But if the food is only good when the manager is picking up my food then I want no part of that. We paid for our drinks and left knowing this establishment is nothing but a cute building and thats it. Waste of a good location.
