Ovation Bistro & Bar, Lakeland -Food CA (Near Lakeland)

4 /5 Don: First time here with the family and we loved the buffalo dip. I would highly recommend that appetizer. The main courses were good too..the only knock on the food were the mashed potatoes were cold. The service was outstanding. My family never had to ask for a refill..they were on top of everything.

4 /5 Karl Price: Tiffany is an amazing waitress. She is pleasant, observant and anticipatory. Not being an IPA fan, she brought a couple Samples to try. Awesome! Automatically assumed I would need extra dressing for my salad and included it with the dish and a hundred other small details that set apart a good experience from a great one. Tiffany, Thank you for serving us on our 42nd anniversary!

4 /5 brian ralph: Had a great New Years Eve dinner with friends. Food was excellent!! But the side that I ordered was mashed potatoes and I never got them!! The waitress took the price of my coffee off my billBUT there were many other things that she could have done but didn’t!!

5 /5 RichieNY: Our first time at Ovation did not let us down. We decided to go with 4 appetizers: Loaded baked potato skins w/brisket was a solid 5 as were the crab cakes. The Shrimp were a pleasant surprise as they are still serving Jumbo Shrimp when other establishments are cutting back to small or medium Shrimp, Im going with a 4 on the Shrimp, the breading was pretty heavy for my personal taste. The smoked wings were unfortunately over smoked which led to them having a bitter taste, i do smoke lots of wings at home and its a delicate dance as to how much time to leave wings in a smoker and which wood to use (I always use cherry wood) but wings take on smoke very quickly and you gotta find the balance as I have definitely over smoked some at home myself, Im going with a 3 on the wings. I will be trying the fried option on the next visit for sure. Pricing is all relative, there were no small portions so I thought it was worth the money!!! I will be visiting Ovation again!!
