Many members, however, feel that Hampton Golf’s management has structured the membership program in a way that disadvantages homeowners, requiring those who live within the gates to pay more than non-residents. This has created frustration and a sense of inequity within the community.
There is also widespread dissatisfaction with the leadership of Jim Knierim. Despite numerous complaints from members, Hampton Golf has not taken meaningful action. Management often responds to reviews or feedback with generic acknowledgments, but these replies appear to be performative, with no real follow-through or change.
If not for the issues with upper management, Southern Hills would truly be a five-star club.
