Howard-Lenoir Katrice N (Tricey) While visiting Panama City, my husband and I decided to find a good spot for barbecue. After checking out Google reviews on Mission Barbecue, we decided to order takeout. It was located only about 5 minutes from our hotel. When we arrived, there was a decent crowd inside. The host was very helpful. She helped us place our order by explaining the different options to choose from. We ordered 5-bone baby back ribs, Mac & cheese, and baked beans as the two sides, and a side of cornbread came with the order. As we waited for our order, I noticed the beautiful decor around the restaurant. Memorabilia pictures of military and rescue workers were placed all over the restaurant. There’s a true story to this restaurant. Hospitality was the best. The atmosphere was pleasant, nice and cozy. Finally we received our food. Went back to our hotel to eat. OMG… best barbecue we have had in a long time. The ribs were so tender (meat falling off the bone) it came with your choice of sauce. We choose barbecue sauce with hickory. The Mac & cheese was so good it seemed as if it was baked In an oven. The baked beans were just right, had pieces of brisket in it instead of bacon. We are originally from New Orleans, La., and I didn’t think anyone can top our barbecue. I was wrong. We enjoyed it and ate it all. I would definitely recommend Mission bbq.

Michelle B Michelin Bib Gourmand award is well deserved! Heritage exceeded expectations! I have wanted to try Heritage ever since I heard it had received its Michelin Bib Gourmand award, and I am delighted to say I was not disappointed! The restaurant has a wonderful, bustling atmosphere. While it is small and feels a bit crowded, they make excellent use of the space, which speaks to its popularity. The staff was fantastic—friendly and attentive, including servers who were not specifically assigned to our table. We genuinely felt welcomed throughout our meal. Our server was exceptional, explaining the menu and offering recommendations that proved to be spot on. The food was absolutely outstanding. The rigatoni with pancetta, peas in a brown butter and sage sauce was easily 5 stars. We also ordered the Melazane Pizza (grilled eggplant, caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella, whipped ricotta, and basil), which was another clear win. They served us a nice, crisp bottled natura water, which had a $2.00 charge on the final bill—a minor, unexpected line item, but the price was perfectly fine. Considering how delicious the food and how superb the service is, I wouldnt be surprised if they outgrow their current location soon. I highly recommend dining here and experiencing this incredible meal for yourself.

Cheryl Yaeger Love this place! Its quaint and the food is good! I had the shrimp with their special crumb topping and my brother had blackened catfish and we both would order them again!

J.August Went for drinks & appetizer on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly quite busy. They had us at a table quickly but our server was busy. The hostess noticed and came over and took our order. I was very impressed, think that’s the first time we’ve ever had that happen at any dining establishment.

Brittany Brock Today my husband and I went to Pensacola and didn’t want to go into town for lunch because we had our dog with us, so we decided to try this spot because it had nice outdoor seating and we are SO GLAD we did! This spot is such a gem, amazing service and the food is so fresh. We started with mozzarella sticks, we each got the Gyro dinner plate and finished off with the brown butter bourbon ice cream and every single bite was 10/10. Our waitress Kaan, I believe was the name on the receipt, was so sweet and had great recommendations! We will absolutely be coming back!

Barbie Ward Its a nice chain restaurant. What they do really well is service. The bartenders are really talented. If you want a drink they know how to make it. My favorite server is Chardone! Shes wonderful. Great attitude and a spirit that wants to help you have a great experience!
