5 /5 Rob Paul: Stopped by The Current Seafood Counter and ordered the fish and chips they were absolutely delicious! The fish was fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter. The fries were hot, seasoned just right, and a great complement to the fish. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Kim behind the counter was knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be coming back to try different selections. I highly recommend going if you’re craving classic fish and chips, or any type of seafood.

5 /5 Crystal L: Casual setting with fresh and awesome variety of food! The staffs were very nice and attentive. Best lobster roll and grouper sandwich we ever had. Fries were amazing. Highly recommend ordering a pasta dish to share with group. Will definitely be back!

5 /5 Joseph Paparella: The Current continues to impress with consistently high-quality food and friendly service. We’ve been to their new location twice now, and they’ve really upped their game. Our favorite is the Blackened Salmon Sandwich, which is excellent is perfectly seasoned and cooked, with a flavorful aioli on the bun that I don’t remember from their Henry’s Depot days. The fries are crisp, golden, and lightly seasoned with Old Bay.. The new space, located in The old Imperial building, is warm and inviting. There’s a lot of wood throughout: the floors, the tables, which makes it feel bright. White chairs and high ceilings and umbrellas hanging from above give it coastal-modern feel. The staff is friendly and very attentive, and the beer list is great, featuring quality craft options including selections from Maine Beer Company. Every visit so far has been a good one: great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended if you like high quality seafood.

We ordered the blackened Mahi sandwich with Old Bay fries, and wow this wasn’t just a sandwich; it was a full-blown flavor vacation. The Mahi was a massive, perfectly cooked portion that hit every note: flaky, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. No bland fish here this one’s swimming straight into Flavor Town! Then came the blackened shrimp and I had to double-check that these were actually shrimp and not baby lobsters! They were that big. Each one perfectly seasoned, bursting with smoky goodness, and making my hand look small in the best way possible. And we can’t skip the shrimp linguine. The noodles? Perfectly cooked linguine, not spaghetti pretending to be fancy. A generous helping of shrimp, each one cooked just right, swimming in a sauce that’s flavorful, balanced, and absolutely addictive. Let’s be honest ...how many times have you ordered a similar dish somewhere else and gotten nothing but melted butter and “jarlic” (you know, that fake garlic)? Not here, baby! This dish is the real deal, well seasoned, beautifully made, and the kind of meal that actually solved a real-life mystery: my wife now knows exactly what she wants to eat when asked!
