5 /5 Meliss: The Modern Rose was the perfect, quaint, personal experience we were wanting on our first meal out as Mr and Mrs. The amazing food was a huge bonus. From the beautiful Christmas decor, the personalized different coffee mugs and genuinely kind owners and staff, this experience deserves a 5 star rating across the board. They even played "Going to the Chapel" and brought us a delicious piece of cheesecake on a plate with the recipe for love printed on it, so..of course we had to finish it to read!!! Simple but special extras you just do not get anywhere else is what makes it. I highly recommend The Modern Rose if you are looking for a deliciously prepared, uniquely served, and sincerely kind staffed meal while in St. Augustine. Thank you for making our breakfast so special!!!

We were in Awe… What an whimsical ,Breathtaking one of its kind decor and vibes like no other place. Our daughter took us to treat ua for our 26th wedding anniversary. We were seated right away, our server was Eugene and he was very pleasant, prompt and knows the menu well and when we asked of his favorites he was spot on with his recommendations. We had. mocha/cinnamon latte, my husband had a churro cold Brew , our daughter had an expresso. All beyond words delicious, coffee is smooth, bold and flavorful all unique blends of coffees. We ordered the Venetian ( a must) freshest high quality . I ordered Lotus Flower Bomb OMG to Die for!!!! We ordered the Tulum Samy was insane good! go hungry portions are large, same with drinks all are massive. Also we had “Better than” croissant Filled with brie, blueberries, Roasted almonds, Drizzled with honey omg I am Drooling so good… If you a wow experience! Modern Rose is an absolute must!! Owners are so caring amd they come to your table to make sure you had a wonderful experience!! Please support this amazing unique to St. Augustine and local owners. Who are so passionate about, caring and sacrifice so much to give the moat incredible ambience ( take me back to England) and freshest and so delicious, even the simplest eggs taste like Royalty !!! 5 /5 Tammy Youngblood: Service was amazing! Very attentive staff. The food was wonderful. We had the McGriddle platter…the French toast was perfection. Eggs and bacon too! We had an espresso drinks mocha/cinnamon latte and a caramel latte. They were huge! It was our anniversary and we had a piece of heaven in a biscoff cheesecake. The dining area is so pretty and there is so much to look at and talk about. It made us feel special! We will definitely return! It was a definite treat!

The owner Mel and her husband were incredibly accommodating, beyond gracious, and made the experience extra special for all in attendance. The guests raved about the decorative details, unique ambiance and quaint atmosphere. The food was delicious and visually appealing. There was a wide variety of specialty drinks to choose from, each served in a unique mug/glass. I highly recommend The Modern Rose for baby showers, wedding showers, birthday parties and special events. Five stars to The Modern Rose, a true Saint Augustine gem.

5 /5 Jess M: The Modern Rose in St. Augustine is not just a place with great food. It’s a whole experience. The place is gorgeous from the outside and everything inside. The decor is just beautiful and so unique. Every detail is well thought out. Each mug is different and so cute. The food is amazing. It’s plated beautifully and tastes just as good. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. We waited almost 2 hours to eat here and it was absolutely worth. The portions are great so you won’t be leaving hungry. Would go here every single time I’m in St. Augustine. The owner and staff couldn’t be any sweeter or more attentive.
