5 /5 Grace Ramirez: Our organization, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at the University of Florida, recently hosted our formal end-of-semester celebration, “Una Noche de Salsa,” at Tinker Latin Restaurant, and it was absolutely phenomenal! From months ahead in the planning process to the moment of the event, the team at Tinker went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their care and attention to detail made us feel supported every step of the way, and with their help, we were able to see our beautiful vision come to life! They truly treated our celebration as if it were their own. The food was absolutely delicious and made many of our Hispanic members feel right at home. It was authentic, flavorful, and a highlight of the evening! With 150 guests in attendance, we were able to fully utilize their projection screen, stage, and microphone system to display awards and recognize our members in a professional and meaningful way. Thanks to the incredible hospitality, professionalism, and dedication of the Tinker team, this was one of the best events our organization has ever hosted. We are so grateful and cannot recommend Tinker Latin Restaurant enough for group celebrations and special events!

5 /5 Guido De Souza Ottoni: Tinker is incredible! The Latin food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and felt authentically homemade. The drinks were amazing too; I highly recommend the arepas and the Tinder Sour. The whole place has a warm, family-style atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. If you’re looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming vibe, Tinker is definitely the spot. Highly recommend!

2 /5 Andrew Grady: Came in when it was not busy (1pm on a Wednesday). Upon entering, immediately overwhelmed by smell of human waste. I assume the vent fan on the bathroom by the door was not functioning. Waited about 4-5 minutes for the one server to notice we had walked in and we were seated. Ordered two margaritas and guacamole (drinks and a snack). The tamarind margarita was amazing and the mango one was ok. Both were clearly freshly made, and that was appreciated. The guacamole was mostly pureed and chunked avocado, with 2-6 pieces of onion, and cilantro on top. The lime juice was mixed in and at a good ratio-- flavor was great. Mouth feel was not, and asked for some diced onion (to add to guacamole). The onion they brought was clear in color, and soft (old by a few days). I will not return here specifically for this restaurant, but maybe for margaritas if Im in the area.

5 /5 Karla De Anda: From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with the warmest smiles and genuine hospitality. Every single person working here treated us with such kindness. They took the time to explain the menu, checked in on us often, and truly made us feel cared for. It’s rare to find a place in Gainesville where the staff is this attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. A huge shoutout to Daniel, the bartender, who crafted the most delicious, perfectly balanced drinks. Every cocktail was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully made. Ana checked in on us with such genuine warmth, making sure we had everything we needed and truly enhancing our experience. And our waiter, Gian, went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and give us the best service possible, he really made our night special. The food was outstanding, incredibly flavorful, beautifully presented, and perfectly curated. The smash burger was insanely delicious, juicy, and packed with flavor. The lomo saltado was incredibly rich and savory, with every bite bursting with authentic taste. And the cheesy and Nutella tequeños were perfectly made, crispy, creamy, sweet, and absolutely unforgettable. You can truly taste the care and creativity in every dish. It was truly surprising to see that they had practically every Latin beer in their fridge , such an impressive and diverse selection of beverages that you don’t find just anywhere. The atmosphere was just as amazing. The music, the vibe, and the holiday decorations all came together to create such a warm and festive environment. It felt like the perfect place to relax, enjoy great food, and have a memorable night. It’s perfect for date night, a cozy family dinner, or even just a quick bite before going out to dance. This restaurant truly exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to come back and bring our friends and family.
