Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Bar & Store -Food CA (Near Sarasota)

5 /5 Michael C. Delapena: I heard this restaurant was just opened at St Armands circle, so I had to check it out. I love vibe in this area and the restaurant didnt disappoint. I decided to have lunch and was able to get a seat at the bar. The decor is very pretty. I started with the "world famous " coconut shrimp appetizer. It was delicious. My server Ashley was amazingly friendly and helpful. She recommended the filet tacos and they were outstanding. I could find no flaws with this place. I definitely recommend and Ill be back for dinner soon!

1 /5 Andrea DelSanto: Went at 7:45 on Saturday night and sat at the bar. Took 20 minutes before a bartender even acknowledged us. Took another 10 minutes for drinks. I ordered food that never came after 30 minutes. Asked for the bill and saw that I had been charged for food. Such a bad experience. I will not be returning. Lots of other great restaurants on the Circle. Shouldn’t have wasted my time.

3 /5 Tamiami Jazz: The new location, still in Saint Armands, is very nice with a warm atmosphere. We had Ollie as a server and he was excellent! He was very friendly, personable, and attentive. Highly recommend requesting him if you go. As far as the food, it was quite disappointing compared to before. One big disappointment is they no longer serve the warm Complementary Bread. That was my favorite part! I ordered the Lobster Capellini Special and was very disappointed. it had a nice size half lobster tail; However, it was very dry. The pasta itself was too starchy and did not have much flavor so overall my dinner was in satisfactory. Fortunately, my guests enjoyed their dinner with the normal menu items of the chicken, tacos, and burgers. So with that being said, it was not a total wash. However, I’m a local and frequent did Tommy Bahamas often and not sure that will remain, unless they bring the bread back and I just stick with the normal menu items. 1 /5 theo: Celebrating my wife’s birthday on Thursday January 8th wanted to go to what used to be our favorite local place. Was informed by several friends who frequent St Armands that it’s not the same it’s the Shore restaurant 2.0 much worse. Didn’t take the chance on dinner so we went for drinks. Bar was packed no seats we sat outside. I went to order drinks they had two bartenders one of which was making cocktails for dinner guests so that left one bartender to service this huge bar area. I stood in front of the lady bartender for twenty minutes she didn’t once acknowledged me. The other bartender said he would be right with me but was too overwhelmed to be right with me. I was standing next to two other people who were also locals and we all agreed this would be the last time at what was great place to be. The word spreads like a forest fire in the Sarasota community. I seen first hand how the locals during the offseason would not go to the Shore for the same reason.

2 /5 Melissa S: We had a reservation and while they kept us waiting they were seating people who walked up with no reservations. Then service took forever to get our order and bring out our food. Food was good not great. They burnt the kids cheeseburger sliders. They were barely edible.
