5 /5 Chuck Whitley: First time visit and it was great. Molly, the bartender, was a great help with my flight selection. I had the Amaretto, Smoked Cherry Malt Bourbon, Barrel Aged Rum. I bought all three. I also got to go back and meet Austin, one of the distillers, and had a nice talk about the distilling process.
5 /5 Sara Sunderhaus: What a great place ! Spirits and food were excellent! We were a group of 6 visiting and all of us loved and enjoyed our visit! Brian the owner stopped by our table told us a lot about his place and took us on a tour. Brian loved what he does and you can tell by his product and employees. We will return!
5 /5 Greg Kimball: i recently visited the 1861 Distillery at 314 Smith Ave, in Thomasville, GA. I totally enjoyed my first and subsequent visits here. My first time, I had one of their specialty drinks, an old fashion. On another trip I met the distiller and he took me on a tour of his distillation process and how his award winning products are made. A very good place to stop and visit.
5 /5 Lyric Kali: Went for the tour, very informative and interesting (good samples too!). Really interesting drinks at the bar and some samples there too! They kept us well hydrated. The food was amazing. The staff is superb, one of the owners was there and they were training a new person and it was fun to watch them have them make all kinds of drinks just for practice. Top notch, get there!
5 /5 Jeremy Swartz: While visiting Thomasville grabbed dinner here. I selected based on location and reviews.
My thoughts follow:
Everyone at the restaurant was super friendly.
I really appreciate our waitresses honest opinion and suggestions. This is something that does not happen at enough places.
There are a large number of great sounding drinks on the menu. I asked for input in selecting between an option or two. Our waitress gave her honest input and it was spot on. Every suggestion she made was 100% accurate. All of her suggestions were fantastic.
I am very sorry I cant remember her name.
The drinks are fantastic. They have the bar nailed down. The bread pudding dessert is an all star.
The paninis are good but nothing special. They certainly do not stand out.
Visit 1861 for drinks & dessert and you will leave happy. Nothing wrong with their dinner dishes. But I expect there are better options for dinner in the area.
Well worth the visit.
Aubrey Womack 20 OUT OF 10! best sub i have had in this town since i can remember. 20$ for 2 people WITH CHIPS AND DRINK. not bad AT ALL. may i add the service was great! very communicative, great food. was pretty quick as well. go check them out !!
Melissa Mervine The most delicious cupcakes I have ever put in my mouth! She is very talented with her culinary skills. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
Kathleen This is the best family friendly bowling alley to take your family out on outing. They play positive and uplifting music. We have been to several places that play music with inappropriate music videos displayed on large screens everywhere, forcing your kids to view. We love that we don’t have to worry about the here. The staff is always friendly.
Not only that but they have laser tag, pool, food arcade games, mini golf for only 8$ a player and they have just opened up the first Duck Pin Bowling Alley in the state of Georgia in the a back. This was a unique and fun experience for us. Definitely different than bowling- think skeeball vibes. No shoe rentals required! We were also informed to be on the look out for when the electric go carts and batting cages open up in the summer. Looking forward to coming back for summer specials and trying out the new additions!
Tina Mo Definitely The Best food in here to eat! we love the birrieria so delicious it keeps us coming back and everyone here is on point hard working we appreciate places like this ! A gem !
