5 /5 Betsy Delves: You get four of these but I ate two before I thought to share a review! Every bite is a culinary delight!!! They are the Bacon Pimento Cheese Fritters. With every morsel you make that face - that, wow, this is a savory moment to cherish. The sliders and Irish breakfast were (almost) equally amazing. Literally finger licking good. Cheers to the chef and staff who made our lunch fabulous. Also- our bartender was attentive and charismatic - Brayton. Coming back every time we make a stop in Macon. Great atmosphere as well. Thanks for turning on the sound of the game for us. Overall the best game day experience or every day experience!

1 /5 Courtney Mcdaniel: I’ve never really been a fan of this place but I heard they remodeled and had a new menu so I was willing to give it a shot for my friends bday. We had a reservation so we sat pretty quickly at 6:10. We did not get our food until 7:45. We barely saw our waitress to the point we started ordering drinks from the bar. Several orders were wrong including drinks. I’m a huge fan of corned beef and cabbage, this is supposed to be an Irish pub style restaurant and the corned beef looked like skinny overcooked slivers of thanksgiving day ham. I am not at all convinced it wasn’t ham. It was so tough and overcooked, I had a hard time cutting it with my knife. The cabbage was awesome. Our waitress looked so unhappy and void of any life. It took us so long to get our food and check out that some of our party had to inhale their food and rush to our next reservation to check in. As I’ve said, I’ve never been a fan but I’m not really sure what updates they have made cause their staff is just as uninterested, menu is bland and it’s hot as hell in there. I really don’t know how they stay in business.

1 /5 Ashlie: First of all, the service was great. The music was good and the vibes were good. BUT... We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese for our appetizer, delicious. My husband ordered the fish and chips, menu said it was cod, it definitely was not cod, more like tilapia. There was more breading than fish. I ordered the Jamesons burger, well done. Im glad I didnt order the med like I normally would have, it would have been raw. A bland beef patty, A pile of slimy onion and flavorless cheese and no mayo. The only thing I could taste was the rye bread. The fries, while hand cut and fried decently, were very bland. No salt or sauce at the table. If youre going to rely solely on the food flavor to make people happy, make the food taste good. Some flavor Is expected when you pay nearly $70 for dinner.

5 /5 Billy Hennessey: Billy’s Let’s Eat Review of Bearfoot Taverns Soft Reopening on December 5th, 2025 Warning! This is one of those reviews that Ill look back at with a lot of happy emotions because I absolutely LOVED this place and my first experience there. Ryan and Brayton were my bartenders. How do I even begin to express how amazing they are? Did you ever walk into a place where they made you feel like you were home away from home? Enter Ryan and Brayton. Bearfoot Tavern was a Downtown Macon Fav! It was destroyed by a flood but that was before I moved here so I cant speak on what once was… today, Im here to talk about whats NOW. Fun Fact: They’re planning an upstairs bar with a Golf Simulator that is planned to open in early 2026 AND Beer Garden in the back with a stage for live music! This place is giving Irish Pub vibes through and through! What they impressively did was mock the semi private dining experience with high walls between booths. Something quintessential in most pubs in Ireland. And speaking of private, they also have a private dining area for up to 25 people. Perfect for private events or that business meeting. So, lets eat! What I Ordered: Bangers and Mash = $17.99 Bangers is an Irish Style Sausage thats very flavorful (or as we say, flavourful) and served with a rich onion gray, mashed potatoes and a root vegetable. Today, they chose carrots. This is a hearty portion. How do I begin? Its rare for me to get overly emotional with food. I havent been back to Ireland since 2020. Bangers and Mash is a staple in my love of my Irish cultures food. When I tried this, I had tears in my eyes. I literally had to stop eating to wipe my face. In one single bite, I was transported thousands of miles back to my fav pub in Galway on the Central West Coast of Ireland. The onion gravy is rich and incredibly tasty. The mashed potatoes, which is something that I am highly critical of if youve read my previous reviews, were creamy, buttery and as smooth as silk. The bangers… how do I even describe them without using the words authentic, Irish and perfection? I dont think I am capable of coming up with the words to say that these are absolutely spot on. If you want one of those places that mixes nostalgia and the latest and greatest, Bearfoot Tavern is the place to go! Mark, the General Manager, stopped by and asked how things were going. It is so blatantly obvious that everyone here cares so much about this place. And guess what? Just like that, Bearfoot Tavern has become my most FAVORITE (see what I did there putting a “u” in favorite?) place to remind me of being home away from home. Maconites, get to Bearfoot Tavern ASAP!

5 /5 Kelly Pierce: The best food weve had in Macon. Service was incredible, and the bottomless mimosas were FLOWING. Highly recommend everything we ordered! Fried green tomatoes, southwest chicken eggrolls, chicken and biscuits, Cobb salad, morning pizza pie, shrimp, and grits. Their country gravy was some of the best Ive ever had! We may need one more visit before we head home.
