Canoochee Catfish - (Near Twin City, GA)

5 /5 C L Mattson: Small, friendly restaurant. My husband wanted to try it, so we did. Normally, I would not order catfish when eating out but how could you not in a place called the Canoochee Catfish ?? We like our seafood fried, so thats how we ordered it. I had the catfish and clam straps. Hubby had that plus scallops. The prices are pretty reasonable. Meals come with 2 sides-we had a baked potato and coleslaw. Also comes with hushpuppies. All In All a pleasant experience. Servers were very nice and took good care of us. I think there are a lot of regulars since many were addressed by name. It was a busy Thursday eve there. They have limited hours, so check before you go! Enjoy!

3 /5 Eddie Greer: I had the catfish which was good and my wife had the hamburger steak which was more like a meatloaf with filler but not the extra flavor associated with a good meatloaf. The service was good and the atmosphere is what you would expect from a local restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

4 /5 Jim & Robin Cheyne: Tried for the first time 7-27-24. Its was clean, the staff were friendly and provided great service. Wife had the catfish which was good. I had the ribeye which was very good. Only knock would be the steak could have been seasoned a little better. But you can always add salt and pepper... Nice thick ribeye char grilled to perfect med rare. We will go back.

5 /5 BILL CAREY: Omg, this place was worth every minute of the hour drive to get there. Plenty of options at reasonable prices. Impeccable service and the flavor of the food, indescribable. Will be back very soon.

5 /5 Tim Thornton: I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The staff are the friendliest folks (service as sweet as their tea) youll ever find anywhere. Yes... there is a long wait if you dont get there early but where can you go eat and not be a wait? Unless you want fast food and I dont. I can tell you this - the food is worth the wait. Ive had the shrimp, catfish, oysters, scallops and clams its always been very good. I keep telling myself to try the steak but keep getting the pick-3 seafood. Someone sitting by us last night and ordered the steak and it looked fantastic, next time Im getting the steak. Give it a try... I think you will enjoy it.
