Crab & Hibachi House - (Near Thomson, GA)

R.McDaniel Do yourself a huge favor and go to Sylvester look for the large orange building and enjoy. This was the first time we have tried El Metate and let me tell you that this is well worth a 30, 60, to a 90 minute drive. Their restaurant is clean, service is very fast and super friendly, the food presentation was awesome and so delicious. The salsa was not spicy, the cheese dip was just right and the guacamole was wonderful. I highly recommend that you have your next date, business lunch or family dinner here, you will enjoy this and your guest will thank you for the great choice.

Rachel Loved it! First time there yesterday, and I will definitely be back. Saw a lot of people on here liked chicken majestic, so I tried the paneer version. Delicious! We both enjoyed it and will get again. Got Shahi paneer, and it was delicious! Other member of party got lamb biryani. It was colorful and tasty. Great garlic naan!!! So tasty. Mango lassi very good. Only thing I didnt like was raita. Never had it with kala namak heavily in it. Overpowered. Want to go back and try more! Worker here was kind and friendly!

Jim Johnson My wife and i stopped in for lunch while passing thru, and we immediately realized that most of Jessup was probably there also. But no worries, as we were first in line to order our buffet. The buffet options were numerious and well prepared. Everything tasted great! The restaurant is well maintained and staffed with friendly, helpful people. Bathrooms were clean and updated. We will certainly stop aging next time thru and highly reccomend.

Kemarie Jeffers Came and sat at the bar and Traci took great care of me. The food was amazing I had the mussels, lamb chops, and homemade ice cream sandwich. I would highly recommend all of these items. The mussels were my favorite, they came served with yellow rice accompanied by chorizo.

amelia purves The food was incredible - I was in awe of some of the flavours! I did the chefs tasting menu with wine pairing - food was delicious and the wine pairing perfect. My one feedback to the chef would be that the portions don’t need to be so big as you get multiple courses per course! I was so full by course 3 and despite loving all the amazing food, struggled to enjoy course 3 and 4 as much as I was so full.

Kaushal Vishu We visited this place on Nov 19th, 2025 for lunch. The service was nice and pleasant. The ambiance and the atmosphere is very lively and bright. I totally liked it. Our server was very nice and kind. I had their mixed veggie Quesadilla and my wife had their vegetarian fajitas. Both of the dishes was very well done. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance of this restaurant. Their portion size is big and very filling. I highly recommend this place !!!!
