Joe Horne After living in Dahlonega for 2yrs, we finally got around to trying El Jimador. Our bad! This restaurant blows the doors off the other Mexican restaurant in town. We started off with a large chunky guacamole, which was perfect, my wife had 3 Street Tacos: chicken, beef, and pork which she loved (they’re so big she only ate ½ of each, which provided great leftovers), and I had the Camerones al Chipotle which was delicious. The margarita my wife had was fantastic as well. When considering Mexican food in Dahlonega, don’t hesitate going to El Jimador. You won’t be disappointed!

Courtney Williams We were blown away by the food! Ordered the shrimp and grits and the shrimp po boy with red beans and rice. They also had a decent NA beer selection and were very accommodating to our dog out on the patio. We will definitely be back!

Pete Wardlaw Enjoyed sushi for the first time in Lake Country. A solid menu and great tasting sushi at a reasonable price. Had a slight service hiccup, but with a little notice to the staff to make them aware we had not been waited on they promptly rectified the situation and multiple servers checked on us throughout the meal. Will definitely return the next time we’re in the mood for sushi.

Jenny You dont have to love the movie #FriedGreenTomatoes to love the #WhistleStopCafe, but it might motivate you to drive 2hours to eat there. Even at 2:15, there was a wait. Bustling on Indigenous Peoples Day, the staff was friendly, helpful and hospitable. They genuinely were grateful for the customers. I got two apps, onion rings and of course fried green tomatoes. Both tasted great, and met my expectations. The fried green tomatoes stayed hot for several minutes. Then, I got #BennettBBQ (IYKYK). The Q was served on a buttered and toasted brioche bun. Literally the best pulled BBQ sandwich Ive ever had. I couldnt like it enough.
