larisa thomason We ate there 2 days ago, and it was delicious! My hubby and I looked for a vegetarian-friendly spot in Helen, GA that was also pet-friendly. We ended up at Nacoochee Villiage and Tavern. They have a nice, pet-friendly patio thats chill enough that our border collie mix didnt get anxious. Our server was attentive and friendly, with good drink recommendations. We ordered the "Tree Hugger" pizza, and it was delicious! Loaded with toppings, but the crust was still crisp and delicious. we loved that this restaurant is off the main drag in Helen, so its not too noisy to sit on the patio, and nobody tried to rush us away from our table. Five stars for the service, food, and atmosphere!

They even have an indoor bar with beer and cocktails, which adds to the laid-back, fun atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the pulled pork and brisket, both tender and packed with flavor. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating, and everything was clean and well-kept. I also loved the decor—it had a warm, Southern vibe that fit the BBQ theme perfectly. Highly recommend stopping by if youre craving some quality barbecue!

Giniamaeze Just had the most amazing suya and jollof combo at 1738, and I’m still thinking about it! The flavors were authentic, perfectly seasoned, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time. What really stood out, though, was the ambience modern, vibrant, and way above your typical African restaurant vibe. The service was top-notch friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, great vibes, and great service, 1738 is definitely the spot. I’m already planning my next visit!

Steph Miller The place is busy just being open a few days, friendly and fast for how busy it was...food was amazing....we had a beef philly was the best weve had in a while, 2 pc catfish with fries was great, and a hamburger that was great. Also had fried okra, was amazing...great place to have in town, something for everyone in the household!
