4 /5 Ray Morgan: When I first walked through the doors of the convenience store, I wasnt impressed. The bathrooms, both men and women, rank with some of the worst weve ever encountered. (I dont want to provide an accurate description. Think portable toilets at an outdoor rock concert, pretty close.) The restaurant ambience was chaotic , with some multicolored chairs mixed with standard furniture from 1974 and booths that passed their prime in 1984. One of the fans was fuzzy. But we were hungry and the menu looked tasty and was priced well. It felt a touch like Russian Roulette with Mexican food!
The food, oh, the food! This was exceptional Mexican food! The chicken in my burrito was perfectly cooked, moist and tender, packed with flavor. The onions had a touch of char which actually sweetened the flavors. The flour tortilla was crispy where grilled adding more flavor and texture. This was one of the very best burritos Ive ever had. My wife had the taco salad and loved it equally as much as I did my burrito! The salsa with their chips was flavorful with just the right amount of heat.
Dont judge the food by its environment. Its worth a stop. Just use the facilities elsewhere.
