Leanna L. I have passed this restaurant numerous times while traveling out of town. It barely catches your eye, but its enough to stick out in your mind when you see "hibachi" on a sign in Baxley! After a long day for both of us, I made the decision to drag my husband away from home for dinner.
We walked in and were immediately greeted by (I assume) the owner, who was also taking orders and cooking. He was extremely polite, helpful, and seemed genuinely cheerful to other diners and when taking call-in orders. He brought our food to us when it was ready and made sure we had all we needed for dinner.
The menu is a mix between hibachi and Chinese, which is a DELIGHT to me. I ordered egg drop soup to start, and it was probably the best egg drop soup Ive had in the area with a perfect thickness, texture, and taste that can only be made from scratch. For my meal, I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi combo with an egg roll and drink. Meals are cooked to order with fresh vegetables, and this one CAME THROUGH. The shrimp and steak were delicious, cooked tender, and well seasoned, but if youre a veggie fan like me, you will be digging them out and asking for more.
I kept telling myself to stop so I would have some for later, and the portions are not small! I was 5 bites past saying, "I need a box," before I actually asked for a box. There were another 3 bites before the food made it INTO the box. I lost count of the number of times I stopped to tell my husband how delicious I thought everything was, and he wholeheartedly agreed. This will definitely be thrown into our monthly rotation!
