Lake Oconee Bistro - (Near Eatonton, GA)

5 /5 Elna Hutchinson: I had the Shrimp Platter and the food was fresh and hot. My server was Brendon, very knowledgeable of the food, very courteous and friendly. His smile is what made the dinner great. I will be back for some great food.

2 /5 Daylin deyton: I came in on a Saturday with a large party (10 adults and 6 kids ish). They were able to sit us somewhat quickly in a private room which was nice and appreciated. The server was nice however, extremely slow. Like EXTREMELY slow. Our drinks took a while to come out but the appetizers came out quickly. Our server took way to long in between coming to check on us/allow us to order which made everything feel like it was moving in slow motion. Our food took FOREVER to come out which was a large part of my frustration. Some food was very god but my chicken sandwich was dry, tough, and bland and I didn’t finish eating it. We also ordered mimosas which were warm/hot in temperature. Also, oddly enough, I asked for a side of ranch for fries and it was also warm/hot. Overall, maybe they would be better for a smaller party but some of the food was just not good at all. After waiting as long as we did we didn’t say anything to the server about our complaints because we were just ready to leave

5 /5 M C: Beautiful location and good food! The service we received from our waiter made this place 5 stars. We went for a late lunch. We were seated immediately in the outdoor dining area on the screened porch. Our waiter came to our table to take our drink order. When asked he gave great suggestions. Im pretty sure his name was CJ. He was awesome! We ordered the jumbo pretzel and bang shrimp! These appetizers were the highlight of our meal! We also ordered one design your own bloody mary to share. The drink was very good. For entrees we ordered a burger and French dip. Fries came with both entrees. The burger was lacking in the flavor department and the French dip was tough. The fries were delicious. The bill was quite high. All in all it was a good experience.

4 /5 Scott Moberly: Great place to eat. Got the pulled pork nachos...4 out of 5. Great pork and BBQ sauce. Main meal was the bistro smash burger, fries and cole slaw. Burger was good....fries are frozen but steak fries. Cole slaw was homemade and really good. For dessert got the peanut butter pie. $10. For a piece of pie for a child. Way overpriced. Service was superb. Super nice kid. Atmosphere was cool. Great place overall. Tried my coworkers bang shrimp. Really good! Not bad pricing except for dessert.

2 /5 Russell Stack: We generally like to come here, but be warned that they charge about 5% extra for using credit. Having been in the restaurant industry this is a lot, considering most places bake this into prices (which I can assume they already are). Food is over priced as well. Their food generally tastes good. My shrimp and grits this evening were very very poor, for being flagged as a "favorite" on the menu. No flavor, basically cream of wheat unseasoned. They poured what seemed to be jambalaya on top. Very disappointed. My wifes salmon was very good and our sampler appetizer was very good. Based on there charging policies I will likely avoid the establishment, but feel free to make your own choice. Make sure to bring cash.
