3 /5 Franklin Wood: My wife and I went to eat here Friday the 13th... what could possibly go wrong?? Lol. Parking is a bit of an adventure. It is terraced down the steep slope. At the time we went, about 7:35pm, there were a couple of spots open close to the door. We backed my big pickup in and headed inside. I will bring my wifes car next time as its smaller. Once inside, we were told it was a 15-20 minute wait. We didnt know they had call ahead reservations and also immediate seating at the bar if available. No one pointed either one out at the host stand. About 15 minutes later , we were seated to the far right side of the dining room. The dining room is a large open space with an incredible view out at the lake if you are on the lakeview side. But these tables were full on our night. The interior of the dining room has tables along the windows and tables on the other side along the long wall. In between are high tops, which might also give you some of those incredible views. We were not asked if we had a preference for our seating. If you are a sports fan, LVT has a bunch of TVs tuned to sports. Since they have a FANDUEL subscription, you can see the Atlanta Braves play. After being seated, we were handed menus, and drink orders were taken by our server, Adam. Adam was a pretty good waiter who seemed to really like his job. He brought our drinks and took our orders. I wanted the Jumbo Shrimp ($19), and my wife wanted the Fish and Chips (which is fried Catfish with French fries). I wanted a side salad, which cost $2.50. Ask for the feta vinaigrette, which isnt even in the menu! The salad was fresh with cherry tomatoes and fresh croutons that had great flavor. But things went down from there. The food took a long time to come out, and it seemed no one was getting anything... not even an explanation. But the staff handled it about as well as can be expected. They admitted the issues and offered free appetizers, but we were not that hungry. They apologized and offered a 50% off discount. Everyone can have a bad night and restaurant work is hard. We plan on going back and seeing how they grow. I recommend this place.
