4 /5 FJ: The shrimp and flavor of the batter they use is incredible, probably the best Ive ever had. Its very flavorful and tasty and consistent. Ill never deny that. However, there are some things I need to point out, and hopefully they can use it to better the restaurant:
Their hours are very annoying. If you look at some of the reviews, others have had the same issue. They updated their hours a month ago but havent updated it online. And even then, its not correct, or they dont follow them because business is slow.
The other day I stopped by at 6:30 with a group of 6 (their updated hours say they close at 8:00, and the kitchen closes at 7:30), and they were still closed. This happened on 2 other occasions which was super disappointing.
I understand that it can be difficult to get motivated and stay open when business isnt doing well, and it may seem tempting to close an hour or two early, but customers can come in at any time. We had a group of 6 people who have never been there before and were hungry and eager to try it out and they were closed 2 hours earlier.
The prices on the menu are also pretty high. And I literally never complain about price; "Be quiet and give them their money."
But $21.00 for Fried Shrimp? + $6.50 for a small side? + Another $2.50 to sub something out? + a drink? After tax and a tip, its around $40 per person. Thats just way too much, its double what you should be paying.
Again, the flavor cant be disputed. Its absolutely worth trying if youre in the area. But having to call them up to see if theyre open, super inconsistent times, as well as the really high price are what hold them back.
