Mellow Mushroom Lake Oconee - (Near Eatonton, GA)

4 /5 Pamela B: Fun spot with a good vibe. The atmosphere is colorful and laid-back and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Mighty Meaty pizza. It was fresh, creative and loaded with flavor--definitely not your average chain pizza! So much meat and the crust was perfect. The appetizers and drinks are just as good, making it a great place to hang out with family and friends. Highly recommend if you want something delicious and different.

1 /5 Adrienne Porter: *update* We tried again tonight and the pizzas were delicious. They had the right amount of toppings and were cooked well. This was a big improvement from our last visit! Holy shiitake pizza was paper thin (we ordered original crust) with hardly any toppings and extremely dry. It was also cut unevenly. $40 dollars for this is insane.

5 /5 Va inthebriarpatch: Tech issue on my part made the order wrong …the staff at MM were just as kind, patient and ready to make it right as anyone could be - more than expected. Tasty treats, amazing customer service = first class! Many thanks to each who helped out

1 /5 Gina Strickland: We came in this past Sunday to celebrate a birthday and had a party of only 5. We were terribly greeted by a lady in her mid 30s, with braided hair that had blue and red streaks in. She looked like she didn’t even wont to be there. When we told her it was a party of 5 she said “are y’all able to fit in a booth” as there were available tables to the right of the door. We didn’t mind that but we ordered 3 sweet teas that were beige colored, not normal tea color. As we started to drink them they tasted very sour and just tasted like it was topped off with water. When we asked if we could just change them for water or cokes she replied “well I didn’t make it, what do you want me to do about it” “it always looks like that, Theres nothing wrong” We didn’t even want to order food after that terrible terrible service.

2 /5 Mama Trish: First, let me start off by saying I love Mellow Mushroom usually. I personally knew "Rocky" Reeves, the original founder of the first Mellow Mushroom. Used to go as a kid to the original one near Georgia tech. Then, I continued to go to various ones as they opened. Always a fun place to go, with friendly servers. This was not the fact here. I came in today for a to go order. I got the Great White and Mighty Meat. Spent $70.00. Which is pricier than other local pizza parlors Like Amici. I came here expecting the exceptional food and service that I have always received at Mellow Mushrooms. The young lady that took my order was cold and judgmental I felt unwelcome and had even left her a $10 tip which I promptly removed after she displayed a rude attitude. I enquired about the Mushroom soup that other Mellow Mushroom establishments have. She said why would you want soup in the summer?" I then asked for a glass of water while I waited 30 minutes for my order. Then jokingly said unless you want to comp. me a tea. Again, I was just joking. (But realistically, a free tea after spending $70 wasnt a lot to ask joke or not. Especially when multiple employees were helping themselves to beverages and drinking them at the counter) She very rudely said, "No, not my food to give away." Again, I was just joking. Then I was standing by the counter and was told you can sit down if you like. I said no, thank you. Ive been sitting all day. Then, I was told most people " want" to sit down while they wait. Again, like my standing by the counter waiting for my food was an issue. First time here. I feel like because I was in my work uniform, I was treated less than. The taste of the Great White pizza was good even though the crust was soggy. The Mighty Meats meat was a bit overcooked. See the pictures of the burnt black meat. All customers should be treated the same way. You want new customers to become loyal comeback customers. To do this, you should not be rude and make them feel uncomfortable. Even someone who had been working all day and just wants to take something nice home for her kids to eat.
