1 /5 Tristin Mullins: I heard good things about this place, Was excited when I walked into an old tiny restaurant and that’s when it fell apart. From the steps not being in code to torn seating and dirty tables. My family and I waited well over the course of 30 minutes for the driest and I mean the driest food I have ever ate. It is a great business idea to charge for refills and ranch with food this dry. I warn all who dare to enter. If paying $75 for a family of four to eat buckets of sand is your idea of a great time this may be your ideal establishment. It is possible I may become vegan.

5 /5 Jeff Walker: This is my go to place for a really good burger. I got the big daddy which is a huge Burger. I also have their hot dogs which are very good. They do have indoor and outdoor seating which is really nice because its next to the road and you can sit and watch the cars pass as youre eating dinner and talking. I did not give it all five stars cuz I even I figure most of those are fake. But the service and atmosphere is excellent. Here as of lately my wife and I have been going there for Sunday dinners. I used to eat places like cheeseburger Bobbys until they changed whatever meet they were using and also started selling fake meat burgers. Im not saying they go hand-in-hand Im just saying at the same time that this happened their food got terrible. But here you can see that its real meat. Every chance I get I take somebody with us for dinner or lunch so they can experience it as well

5 /5 Jason Salisbury: Best brisket I have ever had, seriously. I went there with my daughter because she wanted wings and this was recommended by someone we were visiting out that way. Wings were great, good fried pickles and the brisket, oh so good.

5 /5 DoggieDad: I recently visited Merles BBQ on December 14, 2025, opting for a take-out order. Parking was quite easy to find in the gravel lot outside. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted at the counter by the host. The overall ambience of Merles leans heavily into country nostalgia, featuring a mix of tables and booths. For an older building, everything I could see appeared quite clean. The hostess who took my order was notably friendly and attentive throughout my brief visit. My order consisted of two Chopped Pork Plates and two fried pies, totaling around $32. The food quality was excellent; everything was fresh and hot, and the taste was great. Although I did not dine in or visit the restrooms, my experience with the staff and the food left me with no complaints. Based on this visit, I would definitely return to Merles BBQ in the future.

1 /5 Angela Barnett: I got a to go order as I have for many years at Merles. I ordered a 1/2 lb. of pork/bbq, fries, a quart of slaw, and a quart of brunswick stew. The brunswick stew was super greasy with very dark pieces of chopped pork. I simply cannot believe that they sold this! When I called, I was told that it had been in the steamer all day (now 7:30 PM), and they didnt know it was like that. They would only give me a credit for something else, no refund... I will never be back, ever... You serve a loyal customer something that is not fit to eat, hide it in a cup in a bag, and then tell me no refund. When I tried to explain this, she said, "You can come back and get fresh stew. We just took it out." I know there are people that try to get everything free, but for me, its the principle... You lost my trust tonight and I hope my $16 for the stew was worth it.
