Miller Brothers Rib Shack - (Near Dalton, GA)

2 /5 Big Jay: The 2 large smokers outside excited me and the inside history on the walls had a heavy impact on the soul of the establishment. Plenty of seating and it was very clean. What caught my ears were the slamming and running of microwaves in the kitchen which Im fine with cause I can understand the need for some sides being heated. But it was so constant I started to doubt the food being served. I only got meat no sides, I got both pork ribs and beef brisket. I was surprised to see neither had a a great smoke ring which threw me through a loop as there are two large smokers outside. Surely it would still be smokey in flavor, the beef brisket looked off to me and tasted like deli beef. No smokey flavor other than the BBQ sauce heavy on top. Ribs had some bite to them and had some sear but again about as much smoke flavor as if you oven roasted them then reheated in the microwave. Not to mention no smoke ring on the ribs. Were the ribs still good? Yes, Id expect the quality at a generic restaurant that didnt offer smoked meats. The BBQ sauce was the real star of the food. I made the host aware it was my first time there, for anyone asking and she was delightful.

5 /5 Steve Simmons: Wanted something tasty for Friday night. Googling restaraunts I saw Millers BBQ. Thought that would be good. Never eaten here because its a little off my normal routes. Wow, it is good bbq. Got the ribs and pork. Ribs have a delightful smoky taste. Very tender. The pork was just as good. More than I could eat so a great lunch tomorrow. Service was great and the building is super clean. Will definately make more use of here.

4 /5 Chris U: Where do I even start??! Bottom line - this place is an awesome gem! The only reason for a 4 star on food was that the ribs were a bit on the dry side and even my last one was like half jerky. Overall though, it was OUT OF SIGHT!! I nearly died and thought I went to heaven tasting the Brunswick Stew!! Thank you for preparing my lunch today!! We had a brisket plate, 2 meat plate (ribs and brisket) with the stew and Mac & cheese. $39.00

4 /5 Christian Mollon: So my BBQ tour of Dalton, GA continues with this place I was recommended to go to. Walking into the joint you smelled the BBQ which I didnt smell at the other places, also my elevator to my hotel room smelled great with BBQ. I tried the ribs first because that is what I ordered at the other 2 places these ribs were tied for first with one of the places yesterday. Great ribs, nice pull on first bite, good rub and smoke flavor. The chicken was the best in town I have had so far, surprisingly crispy skin. The thigh was really good and great smoke flavor. The only downside was the breast was a little dry. Other than that it was really good. The baked beans were not my favorite out of the 3 places I have been to so far they finished 3rd. The Brunswick stew was awesome, I have nothing to compare it to because I have never had that before. The sauce on the side was excellent as well. I can see why this place has been open since the 80s. Great job I recommend it.
