1 /5 Skans Closet: We drove nearly 45 minutes to try this place after it was highly recommended, expecting a great dining experience. Unfortunately, we were absolutely appalled from start to finish — both by the service and the food.
Our server, Bonnie, was shockingly rude and unpleasant. When we asked what beers were on draft, she simply handed us her personal order pad to figure it out ourselves. When we ordered extra-crispy wings, they came out soggy and borderline undercooked.
My husband requested chicken and spinach on his pizza. When he asked Bonnie whether crispy or grilled chicken would be better, she replied with an attitude of “as far as what?” — as if the question was an inconvenience. The pizza arrived floppy, with no crisp at all, and missing the spinach entirely. Even after pointing it out, only the chicken was on the pizza — still no spinach.
Throughout the meal, Bonnie was unhelpful, inattentive, and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had, and it’s baffling how someone with that attitude continues to work in customer service.
