5 /5 Sha-Ron Cassel: I think I’ve found where all the good chefs in Georgia went — Murphy’s Restaurant in Griffin, GA! This place is an absolute gem for breakfast and lunch (they close at 2 p.m.), and it captures everything you could want in a small-town dining experience. If Anthony Bourdain were still with us, he would love it here — the food, the people, the atmosphere, and the pure authenticity. There’s a warm, old-fashioned, neighborly feel that makes you feel like you’ve been coming for years, even on your first visit. The staff are genuinely kind, attentive, and they make you feel like family. We go so often now that we don’t even need a menu! Everything they serve is made with care and flavor. If you’ve never had a Torta, you’re missing an important part of life. Their tacos are heavenly, and the pancakes — I’m convinced — are the fluffiest on earth. Honestly, I’d have to list the entire menu to do them justice. Murphy’s is the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants matter.

Theyre chillaquiles is fire, order was chillaquiles with carne asada, ask for the tortilla chips to be extra crunchy, for the sauce ask for the red one but on the side. Then get extra crema on it and a side of sour cream. BOOM!! Thank me later lol. The tacos are fire too. Pancakes better than I hop.

5 /5 Tero Pero: Hands down one of the best breakfast spots in south Atlanta! The atmosphere has a little retro feel; however, don’t let that fool you. The food is absolutely fresh, made to order and amazing. I have been here more times than I can count and they are very consistent. They have several authentic Mexican dishes for the lunch crowd as well. The pancakes melt in my mouth. One of the the things that I noticed in one of my visits was that they were giving food to a few unhoused locals and this made me a die hard fan of this place. They are generally very busy and the vibe is very down home.

5 /5 Jerry Canfield: We drive 60 miles one way to have breakfast here! We have brought our adult children and grand children. The Food is consistently awesome! Not much turnover in employees! Same faces last 5 or so years we have been coming here! Whats important to me is that the food is consistently made to order as ordered! The owner is outstanding!

5 /5 tbhill10: Breakfast was delicious! The cheese grits were super cheesy and smooth. The house potatoes were fresh and the omelet was huge. We will definitely be back. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The restaurant was very clean!
