The meal was flavorful and satisfying, exactly the kind of hearty, well-made food I’d been hoping to find. After this experience, I can confidently say my hunt is over—Northside Cafe is now my spot.
They offer a drive-thru for call-ahead orders, which I didn’t know about beforehand and didn’t use this time. I just pulled up, placed my order on the spot, and was impressed by how quickly they prepared it. The service was efficient, and I didn’t have to wait long at all to get my food.
The hamburger steak was tender and smothered in a rich gravy with perfectly cooked onions, while the greens and green beans were fresh and seasoned just right. It all came together as a meal that hit every mark for what I consider great country cooking. Knowing now that they have a call-ahead option, it’s even better—it’ll make future visits that much more convenient for my schedule.
