Alexs Lyfe Sunday around 6pm. Dinner for two, dine in. The place was busy to say the least. To go orders being picked up, ordering at the register and the phone was ringing every few minutes with another to go order.
The dining area is a decent size with tables throughout and a few plants adorn a 1/2 wall separating the dining area from the register. A little spruce up of the area and maybe a light coat of paint on the walls would definitely brighten up a not-so-bright eating area.
We got our drinks, found a table and a short time later, our food was brought out. We ordered hibachi steak, no veggies, with extra steak and hibachi chicken and shrimp with white rice and ginger sauce with 2 drinks. Our meals were very good. The temperature of the food could have been a bit warmer - the white rice seemed more room temperature. The amount of steak, chicken, and shrimp was awesome! And even though the shrimp are on the smaller side, they do give you a good amount to enjoy.
While the atmosphere isnt the most up to date, all of the staff we observed from the lady at the counter, to the cooks in the back, to the lady who brought out the meal....they were all friendly and busy. We enjoyed a very good meal, with large portions, free drink refills and all at a price we didnt choke on. Thank you for a great meal!
