Leon Jenkins This place is a gem. Spacious dining area. Nice art on the wall and the food was remarkable. Birra is becoming more and more popular and if you want to try it done right at a fantastic price. I don’t know why they don’t have a line out the door. I got the house special birra burrito and it was phenomenal. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. The meat was melt in your mouth tender. I will definitely go back there.

Patricia This place has a very authentic German feel, from the atmosphere to the décor. The small beer garden out back is a great spot to kick back and relax with a drink. We stopped in after a day of hiking and were pleasantly surprised—the pretzel came out fresh and piping hot, and the beer was ice-cold with a great $3 special on a select German brew. It really hit the spot. The only downside was the early closing time; most of the restaurants in the area shut down around 9:00 PM. It would be great if they extended their hours, especially on weekends. We would’ve loved to relax and enjoy the atmosphere a bit longer, but we only had about 20 minutes before closing. Theyve got corn hole and the classic swing-the-ring game, which adds a fun, laid-back vibe. Theres even a TV so you can catch your favorite game while enjoying the ambiance. Great spot for a casual hangout with friends!

Cody Reeves Everything you want from a hometown, ‘across the street from the house’ kitchen. Breakfast is the best around in a 15 mile radius… Try the sirloin steak, first. It will remind you of something you loved 33 years ago. Then the meatloaf. Also, the young girl running the front in there takes her pies and cakes very serious. Menu changes quite often but it’s usually anything from German chocolate cake, key lime pie, cheesecake, carrot cake, peach cobbler, coconut cake, etc…. You’re welcome.

Just a short 20-minute drive north of Tifton, this place was more than worth the trip. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere. The food? Absolutely wonderful. Every dish was packed with flavor, and the selection was just right for a Sunday lunch. My wife loved her meal, and even my 11-year-old daughter—who’s usually hard to please—cleaned her plate and asked for more. What really stood out beyond the food was the feeling of community. We saw families praying together, laughing, and truly enjoying their time. It was refreshing and heartwarming—pure Southern hospitality at its finest. Laney’s delivers top-notch food and top-notch people in a quiet little town that surprised us in the best way possible. If youre anywhere near South Georgia and craving real country cooking, Laney’s is a must-visit.
