James McGlocklin We had a good dinner at the Caledonia Restaurant at the Valhalla Resort Hotel. The restaurant is well lit and spacious with inside and balcony seating. We were seated right away at 5pm. Our server was Amber. She is a fantastic server with a great work ethic. She is very friendly with a great personality. She seated us on the enclosed porch above the pool. I found it comfortable and quieter than the main dinning room. Amber took our drink order and brought some fresh baked hot sourdough bread and butter. The bread was warm enough to melt the butter. It had a good taste and texture. I ordered the thin fried chicken breast in rosemary cream sauce. The chicken was tender and juicy. I didnt taste much from the coating on the chicken. The thick sauce gave it a delicious rosemary and cream flavor. The Chef’s vegetables consisted of squash, Asparagus, zucchini, broccoli, and red peppers. They were a little soft but still has some crunch. The mashed potatoes with butter had good texture and taste. Amber checked back often to ensure we had everything we needed. When she showed us the dessert tray, I ended up with something I really didn’t need but wanted. I ordered the German Chocolate Cake with whipped cream. It was a good size, moist, flavorful. It was a delicious cake. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, food, and dessert. It was a good evening.
