4 /5 nightrider327: Very good dining experience. My sister, niece and I tried this place August 19th, the food was very good. I had the barbecue pork plate with collard greens, potato salad, and Brunswick stew. The barbecue pork was very flavorful with a good amount of smoke flavoring, juicy and tender. Excellent barbecue! The potato salad was good but different from the normal Southern potato salad. Its more a creamy white mayo dill version. The collard greens was fantastic. The Brunswick stew was good but not your normal Georgia Brunswick stew, I would classify it more as a hearty vegetable and pork soup. Nothing like what you would expect from Walkers Brunswick stew or what a few other BBQ restaurants locally offer. My niece had the brisket sandwich and mac and cheese. The brisket was excellent and the mac and cheese was the best any of us has had anywhere. My sister had the barbecue pork sandwich and mac and cheese. Again the pork was great and the sandwich was huge. Very pleased with the portion size of all of the items and the flavor. The barbecue sauce options were great as well. They have a very unique raspberry chipotle sauce, a sweet barbecue sauce and a savory barbecue sauce.
The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired but I contribute that to the restaurant only being opened for less than a week. Lighting and seating was comfortable but the decor was absent. No character or charm, but again I chalk that up to the restaurant not being open long. All of the staff and employees were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our server was very attentive and charming.
I will definitely return, Im very much looking forward to trying the ribs next.
