The Jax Shack - (Near Homer, GA)

5 /5 Chris Marshall: I dont do this often. But it is much deserved. 10 out of 5. My wife and I stopped in for the first time today ( 11-7). Absolutely phenomenal. Tony and Amanda have something special going on at The Jax Shack. The place was really clean. Even the outside seating. Every employee I saw had a genuine smile on their faces. The service was impeccable. The food spoke for itself. When someone takes this level of pride in their work, it truly shows. My wife ordered a chicken bacon wrap. I had the Buffalo chicken bacon quesadilla. With drinks we spend like $30. Ill take that any day for the quality and care they put into the food they put out. I was amazed at the flow of patrons in and out and the lack of a line standing to order. Tony and Amanda, It was an absolute pleasure meeting you guy today. We will absolutely be eating our way through the menu. And I truly appreciate your passion for what you do.

5 /5 Bill Clossin: I would give this place six stars it it was possible. The food was delicious - I had the chicken sandwich, and it was incredible and messy (in a good way). It gets a 5-napkin rating. The bacon was the best bacon Ive ever been served on a sandwich. E (the wife) had the cheese steak and it was delicious as well. The food was served very hot. As for the staff, they were some of the nicest and polite people we have encountered at a restaurant. The place was very clean, well organized and eating there was a privilege. We live about 30 miles away, but it is well worth the drive.

4 /5 Trev V: This place is a Hidden Gem in Homer, GA. Cool small spot with 4 indoor tables that seat 3 people at each table. There is also a larger outdoor seating area available. No fried items sold here, 2 side options are Mac n Cheese or a bag of chips of your choice. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak add peppers with no mayo, and a Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap with a side of Mac n Cheese and a bag of chips. The Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap was out of this world good, would eat it weekly for lunch. The Philly Cheesesteak would have been great, but the kitchen put mayo on it after it was rung up correctly as 86 mayo, it seems the kitchen did not read the order correctly. Unfortunately we did not figure this out until we got home. This was very disappointing for the individual that does not eat mayo. Also, the Mac n Cheese was just ok, 5/10 stars on the Mac. Would go back, but would emphasize this time to make sure the kitchen reads the order correctly.

5 /5 Alexis Peel: Love at first bite! A friend and I found this place on our way home from a hike today and its now our new favorite place to have lunch!! Everything was perfect from the food to the staff to the environment!! I honestly cant say enough good things about The Jax Shack!! The food was so delicious, the ranch is made there in house and its the best ranch I have ever tasted! The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!! And the cheesecake!!! I am 43 years old and I have never liked cheesecake but the owner encouraged me to try his, AMAZING!! I cant believe how good it was! Just go, you will not be disappointed!!

5 /5 Rachel B: THE BEST!! We booked them for our wedding and it was the best decision we made. Amanda made everything so easy to plan and was so helpful throughout the entire menu planning process! The food was amazing, and all of our guests had nothing but GREAT things to say. Some still haven’t stopped talking about how good the food was. Also, book the carving station, that was my favorite! If you need a caterer or just lunch, book them! You won’t regret it! :)
