The White House - Breese - Breese

nancy robinson First I might be a little biased ( just a little) LOL 1. Food is scrumptious. BBQ out of this world. Ribs fall off bone. All hot food. Green beans, baked potatoes, baked beans etc are also all smoked for hours! 2. Portions leave you satisfied when you leave 3. Prices OMG. I’ve enclosed a menu from 5/11/25 . Where can you get 2 rib dinners 2 sides with each dinner. All for $22.95. Come on fast food costs more than that. 4. Last but not least. DONT go if you don’t want to become addicted. Because. YOU WILL BE BACK. I quarantee it Look at the size of those loaded nachos. Almost as big as the tray Think they were $7.95. Look at those rib bones they pulled right out of the meat. And that 1 lb smoked bake potato. The two of us couldn’t eat it all And when you go tell the owner Mike. Nancy Gail Robinson sent you.

Loves Travel Stop - Tuscola

DeAndrea Cummings I was really surprised (thankful!) there was so much semi parking open at 5:30p this Saturday. I was greeted warmly upon entering and exiting the main building. The showers were very clean! The Hardee’s is 24 hours and the food area was clean in general.

Pour House Restaurant and Bar - Rockford

Rating: 4.3 /5
Dale Luttrell Nice atmosphere, good food, the fried cod was good nice and thick pieces with fries and a hush puppy. Grilled cheese was good and you get your choice of cheese. Serving Pepsi products with free refills. Con: salad bar needs to be raised for taller patrons and waitresses are still getting their routines but a nice place for home cooking.

Cured and Cultured - Belleville

Rating: 4.4 /5
sutherlandk19 My husband and I stopped in at Cured and Cultured for a late-in-the-day anniversary lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place was empty (it was 2:30pm when we got there) and we had the whole place to ourselves. I really havent heard people talk about Cured and Cultured, which is surprising because the food was INCREDIBLE. Every bite of each food item is flavor-packed, and not too rich at the same time. The husband ordered sweet Thai chili- and lemon pepper-seasoned chicken wings with a side of french fries (deep fried in peanut oil I think) and sipped on some Woodford Reserve. I enjoyed Leos brisket sandwich (recommended to me by our very attentive server, Matt) with a side of bacon ranch pasta salad. The flavors complemented each other perfectly and the portion sizes were just right. The restaurant benefits from a full bar and a patio out back for warmer weather and live music. I was surprised to see a mini liquor store when we first walked in. I even questioned if we went to the right place because it doesnt even appear to be a restaurant. At the checkout counter is a deli where I believe customers can take home choice items. Im excited to return during the warmer months to try more food on their menu and enjoy some music on the back patio. It was wonderful to have such a great dining experience on that side of Belleville. Its providing a much-needed boost to the area. After tip for two people- an entree, a side, and an alcoholic drink per person; we spent more than $70. I get inflation, but I do wish food this good was more accessible. Updated note: Returned for my second visit two years later celebrating Fathers Day and my dad said their bleu cheese was the best hes ever had. Valerie took care of us on this visit and was so friendly and helpful. Eager for my next visit!

The Food Barn - Lewistown

Stephen Nelson This is my favorite place to stop for lunch. I love the brats and pizza burgers. The potato salad is good, but the pasta salad is the best. The people who run this place are some of the nicest people you will meet. Next time you are in Lewistown, Illinois pull over and try them out.
