Bakers & Hale - (Near Godfrey, IL)

5 /5 Leanda Seaton: This was my first visit to Bakers & Hale. It was amazing. Id say this has to be one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. I got the bacon jam grilled cheese. It was delicious. I also had a sugar cookie martini which was also delicious. Then to finish it off, I had the apple crisp with ice cream. This was an amazing experience. Our server did a great job checking on us and going over the menu as well.

5 /5 Louis Miller: This restaurant is amazing. Coming here for the first time recently when I live so close and it has been open for a number of years was a poor decision. I should have come here much earlier, that would have been a good decision! The food was unbelievable and the prices werent egregious. The staff did a great job. I also appreciated their support for local producers and farmers and tying that into their aesthetic. As someone who also happens to study Architecture, I really appreciated the way the restaurant was designed and it helped the atmosphere. If I would have to say anything against this place it would be that it was incredibly packed and loud (this is not necessarily a bad thing). I appreciated still though they had sound dampeners on the walls and chose materials to help that issue throughout the design. This is a very considerate, homely, delicious, classy, and overall excellent place to be and to eat.

4 /5 Kat Account: Our food did take a bit to come out, I think we arrived right at the beginning of the lunch surge. It was worth the wait though. My wife got a cheeseburger (The Plain Jane), and fries. She appreciated the nice touch of a lightly toasted bun. I had a Cuban sandwich, and took baked potato for a side. The sandwich seemed small on arrival, but it was actually pretty densely constructed with a good blend of meats. The potato had a great texture. I was quite satisfied, and had to take a pause and deep breath for the last bite of sandwich. Now the funny thing was our lovely young server was a Scarlett Johansen look alike, so much so that my wife and I both had a stunned moment when she walked over. She was very good, checked on us just enough, got everything right without notes.

5 /5 Darla Wilfong: Even on a busy Friday night our food was great! We were celebrating a birthday and my recommendation is Don’t skip dessert! We all had very different food, including 2 appetizers, filet mignon, tacos, B&H burger and Kid approved Mac n cheese and a hamburger . Kids menu has several $7 items to choose from. If you show up early there are several appetizer specials. Parking was tight but we had no wait for seating.

5 /5 Tina Smith: The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and seated. Our drink orders were taken, and our waitress was helpful in answering our questions, as it was our first time there. We are from Michigan and in town visiting family. They highly recommended Bakers & Hale, and we are so happy we went. We purposely skipped having any appetizers with the sole intention of having dessert. Still, we were too full. So, I ordered the Lemon Gooey Butter Cheesecake to go. It held up well, and was 100% delicious the next day. Rich and creamy, and unlike any cheesecake I have ever had. Id be happy to visit B&H just for drinks and dessert.
