Ashley I am obsessed! Probably the best latte I’ve had. We originally came and tried the lunch sandwiches and loved it so much we came for their breakfast. I can’t compare anything to how amazing it is!

Sabrina Crawford Matisse is the definition of a hidden gem on Chicago’s North Side. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming, and the service was spot-on and attentive without being overbearing. The food? Incredible. We started with the garlic parm wings and quesadillas, and I’m not exaggerating when I say those wings are some of the best I’ve had in Chicago! They were perfectly crispy with a garlicky kick. For mains, my friend ordered the beef tenderloin (melt-in-your-mouth good) and I went for the Devil’s Chicken. The chicken was juicy and bathed in a tomato sauce with olives, capers, white wine, and garlic…… an absolute flavor bomb. Drinks were another highlight. They make their own syrups and juices, and you can taste the creativity in every cocktail. Dessert sealed the deal: the bread pudding and mango crème brûlée were both outstanding. Bonus points for the heated outdoor patio that stays open until November and their late night hours which is perfect for lingering after a night out. Matisse has been holding it down in the neighborhood for 24 years, and it’s easy to see why. This place deserves all the love.

Joseph Boyer Great food and very friendly staff! I had the buffet and everything was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Prices are fair for the quality and selection. Definitely stop by if you’re in Pontiac!

Adam Hatch I would recommend getting in early if you’re looking to have breakfast or have a reservation. The seating area is small and fills up fast. Here are the dishes we had. The Goat from Ipanema - This drink was a blend of two rums with pineapple, coconut, miso, and lime. Very refreshing and a more bitter version of a pińa colada. This Little Piggy - A deconstructed breakfast sandwich with sausage, sunny side egg, on a cheddar biscuit with a chili garlic chive sauce. It was fantastic and the sauce offered a subtle but sweet aftertaste. Avocado Toast - My Mom got this and really enjoyed it. She raved about the herbey limey drizzle over the top of the greens the toast was under. The Simple Goat - 2 eggs your way, bacon or sausage, fruit, toast, or hashbrowns. I recommend getting this dish if you’re looking for something light. My Dad is a light eater and this was perfect for him. Bacon was cooked perfect and crispy, just how we like it! Great diner with an awesome service staff! Can’t wait to come back and try even more of their items.

Jo Buddy The staff here are amazing people. Super polite kind helpful friendly they contribute to a great atmosphere and make this place the absolute best! Food was amazing as always. But the staff were kind and on top of it. I drank three mango iced teas in record time and the refills never stopped coming even as fast as i was downing them they were coming back with refills. Loved it its clean and fast with great staff. Have to have the fajitas with all three proteins its the best!

Eliana Moore Thompson Dining Center is a solid spot if youre in the area and looking for a chill, hearty meal. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, definitely one of the best I’ve had in a while. I also grabbed a side of mashed potatoes and green beans, which were fresh and well-seasoned. Spent about $18 for a filling meal that hit the spot. The atmosphere is casual, and the staff is friendly, which makes for a relaxed dining experience. Definitely recommend if youre craving some comfort food that doesnt break the bank!
