Barry Cafe - (Near Barry, IL)

Deborah Mallek Driving through we looked for a restaurant that was quick off the highway. Called ahead and ordered Gyros to go. We stopped to pick them up and decided to eat there instead. Gyros would have been messy in the vehicle. We made the right decision! Amanda was our server and extremely accommodating when we said we wanted to change our order to eat inside. They only had the soup prepared so it wasn’t a problem at all. Our meal came with the Gyro on Pita with a potato and other side. It was a lot of food for the cost. We asked for the pita to be grilled crispy and it was done the most perfect we’ve ever had. The gyro meat was cut in smaller pieces instead of long slices but it made the food much easier to eat. We each at cream of potato soup. We had fruit and onion rings as a side. It was a large portion of onion rings. This place is worth the stop! We didn’t have the buffet but took pics of it. The salad bar looked great too. Next time!! The staff were all so friendly. You won’t be disappointed stopping here. The prices are extremely reasonable. Portions huge.

Beau Johnson One my familys favorite places to go. Pretty wide variety on their menu and one of the few places in Kankakee that makes Eggs Benedict. Never have had a bad meal here.

ANGELINA ꨄ My first time there the drinks were fire and the Owner was amazing and spent a nice amount of time conversing and laughing with us. The environment was inviting and cozy. Im definitely going back ; )

Nicolas Waldron Staff: the staff takes your order right away. The food comes out hot and tastes great. Building: the building is small. Only 7 tables, but both times I’ve been here, there has been seating. This place is good and should be packed every day. Food: the food is hot and is good. Plenty of options. Really low key taco place that should be visited by everyone. Parking: plenty of parking. 5 stars: the service was great, food was amazing, and the place had plenty of seating at lunch time. It helps my review rating and is greatly appreciated!

Christy L Garden Family is THE place to go for food that is filling and fabulous! The daily soups are sooo good. I have eaten here for all meals, but my favorite is lunch. I can eat and get back to work with no problem. Their food is always top notch. Did I mention that the service here is exceptional?? The crew does a wonderful job making you feel like family (except you dont have to do the dishes!!). I would highly recommend coming here if you want great food without breaking the bank!

Tiffany I went here with my daughter after a dr appointment here recently. I think her name was Heather that helped make our sandwiches, but she was so patient and kind with my little, complimenting her choices, and just absolutely awesome. Made my day for her having patience with her and boosting her confidence. Props to you my dear, we need more folks like you!!
