OESTERREICH SAM (Oesfreelancing) Modern, unique, friendly, professional. These adjectives are SPOT ON! Im sure there are plenty more than can be included. These are just some right off the top of my head that I experienced during my brunch visit on November 16, 2025. . It was busy at around 9:15 Saturday morning. My wait was at least 25 minutes for a party of one. The kind hostess suggested a seat at the bar if I didnt want to wait that long. I took the seat at the bar! While there I chatted it up with other customers. We had pleasure conversations about Egg Republic in general, the owner, who was on site, and the staff. The owners rapport with his staff was wonderful to see. . Emma, the mixologist made me the most beautiful mimosa I ever saw! It was the Rose Xplosion mimosa. It was so unique from any other mimosa I ever had. It was made with a pack of Pop Rocks! I took a good picture of this beautiful masterpiece of a mimosa. I opted for the Avocado tast with two perfectly poached eggs on top. The meal was delicious. The mimosa was sexy. And the service was A+ service. . You should definately hit up Egg Republic for a fun brunch experience. You may have a bit if a wait but it will be worth it. . Cheers!

ernie parish This is a great place to stop but be hungry. I got the 32 oz porksteak with 2 sides and a drink 21 dollars total. Didnt need a knife fell apart. The people in the place were small town people. Order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. One older couple was waiting and when their name was called a younger lady got up got their food and delivered it to their table. Thats the generosity of people the whole world needs. Go here enjoy the people the food and if your really hungry they have a 5 pound of meat sandwich you will only have 30 min to eat it. Great place will highly recommend to everyone.

Peace&Love Wow! First time here and was NOT disappointed!!! Had their fried shrooms and BamBam Shrimp for appetizers. Then we had the Blackened Shrimp tacos, beef tacos, and fish tacos. Wow!!! Everything was sooooo fresh tasting, wonderfully seasoned, and the portions were amazing. Our waitress was so nice and friendly, food was served very quickly!!! Definitely will be returning!!!

Scott La Bee My, as requested, well done cheeseburger arrived looking really good. The vegetable topping were in abundance! The tomatoes had flavor! The bun was delicious. Home made potato chips nice and crispy with just the right amount of salt. Matt, my waiter, kept my water topped off. I searched the ceiling for any remaining cards, alas, the cards are gone.

Matthew Kremitzki We were told that The Breakroom had the best burgers in Mattoon/Charleston. Well, that’s almost correct. I will have to say they’re the best burgers in the State! The Roughneck burger was so good, juicy and flavorful! Not to mention, locally sourced beef too! And those fried pickles… well… I can brag about those like the burgers! If you want THE BEST burger in Illinois, you NEED to come here!
