Beef Shack - (Near Oswego, IL)

2 /5 Hutch Goodin: Ive come to this location since it opened. The chicken sandwich is genuinely tasty. But this visit was incredibly disappointing. I know theres a wait for the sandwich, and its occasionally been a little long. But today I was told to pull in front of the building after going through the drive thru, instead of the designated spots, and spent 20+ minutes waiting when there was one couple inside and only 2 other drive thru customers. When I went in to ask what was going on, I was told "we couldnt see you" when no one ever left the building to check. Why would I just drive away after paying for food? There was truck behind me waiting as well, they also had to go in to get their food which had been sitting on the counter. Theres no way they couldnt atleast see the truck from the inside. And to top it off I paid over $10 for a chicken sandwich that barely covered 50% of the bun. Ive usually had ok service here, but today was just frustrating. Ive worked food service for years, and I know how customers should be treated. I dont think us customers werent seen, I think the employees didnt care enough to even check and were going to wait until we came in to grab our food. It just seemed lazy. Ill definitely reconsider stopping by in the future. The foods good enough but the service is lacking.

1 /5 Bob Wolf: Ordered a beef sandwich with sweet peppers , got a beef with hot peppers and cheese , brought it back to counter and they made a new one ( only after I waited for 10 minutes while they made other customers food).the third sandwich had no peppers and cheese .brought it back and said never mind please return my money. The person did not know how to make a return and said I would have to wait for a manager , called and spoke with a manger they said I have to come in during their shift to get a return . This place is a hot mess and not worth the trouble . They not only lost me as a customer but anyone I tell this story to .

5 /5 M.A. Vazquez: Great restaurant with not overwhelming menu. They keep it simple but delicious. We ordered the garlic cheesy beef with hot gardenera and cheese burgers. The cups are awesome. They keep your drink cold because they are made from aluminum, and if you bring it back, your drink is only one dollar. The cashier was patient with me since it was my first time,and she answered some questions respectfully and was polite. Ill be coming back to try some other menu items soon.

5 /5 unknown 312: I stopped by for the 2-for-$2 Chicago-style hotdogs. My expectations were low. I was given two beautifully constructed hot dogs that didnt skimp on the ingredients. The only thing that could have made it better was if the buns were steamed. Phenomenal value.

1 /5 Pizza Critic: Food is not good. Only 1 strip of beef on my wifes half sandwich, and I got 2 plus strips of beef on my full size Sammi. Cheese gave my a sour taste for the rest of the day. When we complained, the girl behind the counter said you get what you pay for! WOW! Als beef in Chicago, which kinda sucks is better than this place! Not worth close to $30.00 for a Sammi and a half!
