4 /5 Beth Whitaker: Ah, the days of the ol greasy spoon. Only minus the grease and Al behind the counter yelling at Flo through a crowd of people eating. I was not disappointed at all. In fact, I was a pleasantly surprised. Okay... sorry all, no photos on this review. If I return I will snap some then. For now... lets roll to the pro and con list. Pro: Server was a nice young lady, great smile, and was warm and welcoming. The food portions were enough for the average eater. If you are a big eater get a big plate or order one deluxe and one regular meal. The prices were fantastic, especially for this day and age of higher and higher prices (wonder if they own their own farm and garden - inquiring minds). The ambience is a typical Mels Place with open seating and plenty of it, some with even great people watching views. It is bright with a whole store front of windows. Cons: For a late lunch, the place was pretty empty considering the location in town and near the court house, however, the court does have strict hours so maybe missed the mad dash. The point, and that was not the point, the one server and the (assuming) one cook took a bit to get food out the door and to check up on people. Not a big negative, just wonder what it would look like if really busy. The Food/Order: Kid had a burger that was "very well" cooked and not a lot of flavor. I had the grilled buffalo wrap (tortilla not wrap). Both were enough but kid said he wouldnt order the burger from there again. He had the deluxe with soup (chicken noodle and it was yummy) and I ordered from the special of the day, which was automatically the deluxe. The fries... I am a snob... and they were good. Didnt even need my normal ketchup and mustard mix to make them good. Crispy with a light seasoning on the outside. One deluxe burger with cheese and One deluxe grilled buffalo wrap special, two waters = $21.00 That was worth the stop in. And more than likely return visit to try one of their many other options. NOTE: Note good for a vegetarian and definitely not for a vegan.

5 /5 Jerry: Amazing family restaurant! The breakfast is cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The server Tammy has the best attitude and was quick and the most attentive server Ive had in years! Definitely will be back many more times. Very affordable prices.

3 /5 Jack P3333: 1st time here, ate lunch. Had sandwich special includes chicken soup & fries. Had ham & Swiss on croissant, wife had tuna, both were very good. Waitress nice & friendly. Inside cleaness could improve due to food scraps on floor. Dead plants in pot makes you wonder. Overall, nice convient family friendly place to eat.

5 /5 Rhonda Birk: First time here, stopped for lunch with friends. The place is a little dated, (thats what gives it its country charm), plus the food and service are amazing! I would highly recommend this place, and if their breakfast tastes as good as the lunch did, Im pretty sure you cant go wrong. P.S. the fries were the best fries Ive had in years.
