What Clients Are Saying Buckeye’s Bar & Grill (GG)
5 /5 Joseph: A very enjoyable and friendly place for a couple of frosty beers and good burgers.
5 /5 Rere Zamarripa: I ordered from door dash. The food is delicious. I had the egg rolls and my other family members ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The prices are great as well.
4 /5 Brian Samuell: Great little dark bar that grills all sorts of burgers and chicken and that sort of stuff. Cold cold beer in frozen glasses and a huge selection of liquors and a few wines.
4 /5 Katherine Riley: I ordered a simple cheeseburger. It just had bbq and bacon on it with american cheese added some fried pickles too. Food was fresh and hot and tasted great. Thank you!
Brian Rieke I just had an amazing breakfast of Bananas Foster Pancakes! The meal came complete with a scoop of ice cream on top.
I plan to enjoy more meals at Eddy’s
Marion Kupp Fantastic chicken. Better than KFC and Popeyes, hands-down. Got six pieces of chicken, three thighs, three drums, small container of mashed potatoes and three biscuits little under $25. Sometimes you gotta wait for fresh chicken because you want specific pieces, or a le carte, But it’s absolutely worth it.
Scott Meyer We got the double bacon cheeseburger combo. The meat for the burger seems fresh and is delicious. The price is great as well. Great burger for a great price. The cheese curds are very good as well. Well definitely be back.
M Rogers I dined solo on a Saturday night. I made a reservation at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. The Caesar salad had pistachios, which was an interesting twist. It was not a traditional Caesar. They were able to accommodate my gluten-free diet, which was great. The lamb loin main dish was interesting. The Colorado lamb was not at all gamey, which surprised me. It did seem a bit tougher to chew than I expected. The dessert was tasty. I was seeking a special experience and this place delivered. It seems to be one of the more creative restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend it. Make sure to make a reservation!
Alan Camerer The gem of Elsah, Illinois! Hidden away on the hill on a side street, the restaurant (I hear) gets its name from a previous location. The interior is warm and welcoming with several smaller rooms to break up the too crowded feeling, which is good since they are usually busy and reservations are recommended. However, we were a group of 4 on a Saturday at 12:30 and were able to get a table with no wait.
The Adult grilled cheese was pleasantly different. The accompnying arugula salad was well prepared. Mom said the chili was very good.
Noise level was a little echoey but most guests were talking quietly. We were the loudest there. Sorry bout that!
Parking is free on the street and might be tricky if theres a crowd. We had no problem. Waze said to turn left on a one way street off the main road into town, but just go a block further and take the next left and turn left again at the next street. The restaurant is on the left.
Service and wait time were very good. Pay at the table to your server with a mobile card reader. Very convenient!
Thanks to staff and owners for the great experience!
