Cafe Olympic - (Near Crystal Lake, IL)

Kathy Roger We were nicely greeted and was going to take out to eat at Global Brew next door but decided to stay. The nice young lady there sat us and the owner Chef Abdul came over to give us water and say hello. Our friends were visiting from New Hampshire they came back home for a visit . They also heard of this place. We ordered a appetizer platter to share so we could try a few other things . The hummus as well as thr other apps it came with. Reasonably priced considering anywhere you go now you pay $15 for cheese curds. We each had a different dish. Chicken, Beef Shawarma, a combo and a beef kebab. My fav was the beef kebab my husband ordered. Everything was fantastic and the people there were very nice . Place is a bit small but charming with pictures on the walls and of his travels. I had a Turkish coffee it came on the cute heart plate with cool little pot and a piece of coffee candy they recommended eating the candy with sips of coffee if it was too strong but it was good. Id leave the grounds on the bottom . Dont try to stir and drink that bottom part like I did. Baklava was very tasty as well. I would 100,% recommend them as well as thr other 1000 people that reviewed them.

James Prawl Always a good experience, this time. I ordered a Big Mac knowing that the Big Macs from McDonalds anywhere have gone downhill, but I was hungry for one, this one was actually extremely fresh and tasted better than they have in a long time. Got through the drive-thru line very quickly and the staff was very positive!

Fink807 Our 1st time here this morning for breakfast. My chicken fried steak and american fries were perfect! Pancakes look wonderful (too much food, will try them tomorrow). My husband had the farmers skillet and loved it! Food came out fast and there was no bill to pay - Santa bought our breakfast! We knew no one there, so we assume someone was paying for patrons breakfast today.

Kerrie Dewey Heading down hwy 50 between Carlyle and Lebanon you will find a small town called Aviston. Be sure to take the time to detour here for a great meal! We stop for breakfast anytime we are passing by and have not been disappointed yet! The staff are wonderful and do a great job. The food is everything you expect from a small town diner and the price is beyond reasonable.

Crystal Ball Waitress was friendly. Our orders werent right the first time. Reasonable wait for fresh food. Small building so it fills up quickly. Small step at the entrance. Only takes cash but ATM in building by door.

Katie McCullough The Fizz Soda Shop has my favorite seasoned waffle fries and amazing beverage options! The food is always fresh with little to no wait. I love supporting locally owned businesses and this place earns its customers with fast, friendly service, deliciously fresh food and no matter the drink youre craving, The Fizz will have it!
