The New Oasis Family Restaurant - Ottawa

Rating: 4.4 /5
S C The New Oasis Family Restaurant absolutely deserves five stars. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The staff is fast, attentive, and clearly takes pride in what they do. I ordered the Oasis Skillet, and it was fantastic — loaded with onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, sausage, and cheese, all layered over crispy fresh hashbrowns and topped with eggs cooked exactly how you like them. Every bite was hearty and full of flavor, the kind of classic diner comfort food done perfectly. What really put it over the top were the pancakes. You get two big, fluffy ones on the side with warm syrup — a simple touch, but it makes all the difference. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast. Between the great people, quick service, and delicious food, The New Oasis Family Restaurant is exactly the kind of place you look forward to coming back to. It’s a true small-town gem that gets everything right.

Tosha Valentine My only complaint is on myself....we dont eat here enough! The sauce is amazing. Plenty of specialty pizza options and crust styles! As for subs.....we are a divided household. Boys favor the Russian, Girls love the Italian Beef.

Brooke Payne The food is homecooked and amazing! The cafe is very cute and hometown-y. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Fish Fry Fridays are the best and the have kids fish meals, too.

Kims Place Cafe - Jacksonville

Rating: 4.5 /5
Melissa P Kim’s is the most authentic Korean restaurant in Jacksonville. Ms. Kim is extremely engaging and has a mother-like care for her customers and her cooking. Right when you walk in the door, she makes sure that you are taken care of just like you are in a local Korean home. From the start, the banchan is amazing and when asked for more, Ms. Kim gives generous second orders. The main courses are all hearty and will leave you pleasantly full. You will not regret your time here. 5 stars.

Family Traditions - Carmi

Rating: 5 /5
StLouisSled Its not very often that I get blown out of the water when it comes to food but on our way home from Indiana yesterday we got hungry and was looking for lunch in Carmi, IL. Joy googled and found this place. We rolled up in front and wasnt sure it was even a restaurant but took a chance and went in. We felt out of place and under dressed at first but were welcomed in wholeheartedly even in our leather and doo-rags and quickly felt right at home. There was a fixed menu with just two choices for the day, chicken or beef but WOW! the most delicious Sunday home cookin Ive had in a long time. I ate everything on my plate and even ordered dessert... Home made blackberry pie. If you ever get anywhere near Carmi you have to stop at Family Traditions Restaurant.
