Dan’s Big Slice Pizza - (Near Princeton, IL)

Steven McHugh Our first adventure/sit down was in afternoon a bit chilly outside enjoying some eats after the St Louis Canyon Trail!! Ohhhh the Smores dessert, Cheese Curds and mixed drinks! So good!! Then...... later on we couldnt get a table for 2 at the lodge diner until 7pm since we waited to book a reservation on Saturday.......whoops!! So "The Back Door Lounge" rescued the dayyy with some awesome nachos that I highly recommend!! I enjoyed these later that night after more sight seeing on the town!! What a great little hideaway and our first time there the waiter was working his rear off to make sure we were all taken care out outside!!

chyna piel We went to Atlas’ Slice twice this weekend! The food was phenomenal, service was great, atmosphere was also great! The pizza is very filling and we loved the unique soda options. Can’t wait to go back. Bonus points for their dairy free cheese option!

Maria One of my favorite spots! I am forever hooked on their cinamon rolls, toast and potatoes! Hometown flavor with a little dash of home cooked goodness! All of the servers Ive had are kind and keep your coffee full, which is sooooo good! *CASH ONLY - 3rd party ATM on site.

Cove This place was wonderful! You have to be careful not to go out of your budget in the grabbing frenzy. This place was clean, well lit, and most importantly the food was fabulous! The service was a bit slow- but to be fair most of this restaurant is self serve. By the end, my friend and I had acquired quite the collection of plates (including some on the fun robot!). It was a great experience and we will definitely be returning!

Sandra McCarthy Our National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Christmas Celebration Dinner at Destino Italian Restaurant was truly delightful. The warm welcome and festive fireplace setting made the evening feel magical. Carey, our wonderful waitress, was attentive and kind, and the owner checked in several times to ensure everything was perfect. The food was outstanding, fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of authentic Italian flavor. Our group enjoyed every dish. Destino’s exceptional service and holiday hospitality made our celebration unforgettable. We left grateful, well fed, and excited to return. Thank you for making us feel welcome! Cheryl Krouse My husband and I visited GDL on a Sunday afternoon in December. It was quiet only 3 tables occupied. Service and food was quick. I had Enchiladas Mexicana and he had a Chimichanga. Both included rice and beans. Both were hot, fresh and tasty. The price and portions were good. I will definitely be back.
